Charmed: Hyde School Reunion (2004)
Fun Episode
This is a really fun episode of Charmed. A Demon is after Chris, Piper is worried that Chris hates her, Phoebe is going to her high school reunion with Paige. Some things were said to Phoebe and BAM she's a teenager again. And all things that apply to being a teenager. Just this time around, she has her adult witch powers. One of her friends is in jail and so Phoebe and two of her friends go and visit him.
In the mean time Piper is paranoid with the fact that Chris may hate her. So she calls Victor and he comes to visit. He takes Chris to dinner and tries to find out why Chris has this thing with Piper. Chris reassures him that he does love his mom but he doesn't want to get close because in his time she died when he was 14.
The friend of Phoebe wants to steal money out of those Dunbar money trucks so he asks Phoebe to use magic to get it on fire. Phoebe takes her friend back to the manor and he wants a new face so she gives him Chris' face. The demons show up who wanted Chris and they kill Phoebes friend because they thought it was Chris.
It's a really good episode. One of my favorites from Season 6.
American Pie (1999)
Not the best, Not the worst.
I never really watched the whole thing until recently. I had always watched the second and third films from start to finish and enjoyed them. The first one is not my favorite out of the three but it still has the whole comic relief thing going on that I enjoy. It shows how all anyone can ever think of in Highschool is sex. No one wants to go to college a virgin. The young men make a pact that by graduation they will all have sex and not go to college a virgin.
Jim is interested in Nadia, a young very attractive European girl and he finds love with someone other than Nadia,he finds love with the "band geek" Michelle. Kevin is interested in Vicky, a very attractive blonde that he has been going out with but who has never been pleasured. In hopes to "pleasure" her he calls his older brother that then tells Kevin in the library there is a "Sex Bible". Oz is interested in Heather and she is interested in him. Although Stifler makes rude obscene comments about the pairs relationship. She believe that Oz is another Jock who all he wants is to get in her pants, but the pair find love in an unexpected place at Michigan State singing competition. Finch really doesn't have an interest in anything but Stifler's mom. The M.I.L.F of the movie.
They all achieve their goals of having sex by graduation after prom.
Insight: This Side of Eden (1977)
Pretty Interesting
I had to watch this for my religion class in the beginning of the year. It was actually pretty good. It wasn't the best thing I had ever seen but it certainly wasn't the worst. It takes place after Cain killed Abel and Eve was blaming herself for his death. God gave Adam the power to name things so he was naming everything we are common with today. Windows, Tables, Hot Fudge, Ice Cream Sundeas, basically everything. God pays them a visit and asks Adam what he named and why he named them such. He then tells about how Cain is in another settlement with a wife and such. God tells Eve that it wasn't their fault about Abel. From what you get by it it's like God was telling them to try and have another kid. During this whole time Adam and Eve were fighting so Gods little presence wasn't enjoyable and Adam kept blaming Eve for the Garden of Eden and how they are never welcomed back to the garden.
It would be pretty hard for anyone to find this but if you are to venture out and actually find it, you should watch it.
Click (2006)
First Sandler movie I cried during
I didn't have much expectations for this movie. I went to my friends house for her party and we decided watching it. I was wrong about it. I judged it before I had even seen anything remotely close to it. Michaels world changes when he gets this remote. It's basically a 'What If' kind of movie. What if I did this. What if I didn't do this. We have all experienced days like where we want to change the past. His experience just shows never expect more than what you have. Always be happy with what you got because someday it will be gone. This has got to be the only Adam Sandler movie that I have ever cried during. I felt so awkward crying after I found out the ending.BUT I'm not going to spoil it for you.
John Q (2002)
How far would you go for your family?
I had to watch this movie in Religion class at school on Thursday. Everyone kind of just moaned at the thought of another movie until we were reassured it wasn't something related to Jesus. In that class we watch the weirdest stuff. Anyways, When we all found out we were going to be watching John Q we kinda got excited, and we were worried about crying for our next class.
Denzel Washington playing the character John "Q" totally stole away my breath. He was so remarkable. His 9 year old son fell during a baseball game. During the x-rays it should to be somewhat of an enlarged heart. 3 times larger than the average 9 year olds' heart. Johns insurance will not cover the heart transplant because he is on HMO and they won't cover transplant surgeries.John sells everything he has to save money for this 250,000 dollar surgery. He takes the hospital on hostage until the doctor agrees to give his son the surgery because they were going to release his son when he paid the hospital 6,000 dollars the day before.
He then finds out HMO pays the doctors a bonus check at the end of the year if they find something wrong but the doctors didn't tell the family.
I was wondering if he was getting treated like this because he was a black male. Who hadn't had any previous knowledge of medical procedures like this. Since before he took the hospital hostage there was a white family the doctor was joking with and the husband just had the surgery.
The whole time I was watching this movie I would wonder if I would do that for my family or how far I would go if my child needed a surgery like that or if my own family would do it for me.
I recommend this to everyone and anyone.
The Omen (2006)
Gives me the Hibee Jibee's
I usually don't watch scary movies with the intention of getting scared. Frankly scary movies just don't scare me. When I walked into the theater with my mom I figured I was going to sit through a film, roll my eyes, and sigh a couple times. Nope not the case. From the opening scene I had my head in my hoodie. The little boy who plays Damien is pretty convincing with those eyes. Certain scenes I remember to this day being very graphic and having a lasting impact on me. I would definitely recommend this movie if you are tired of scary movies that just don't scare you. I wasn't able to sleep for a week. I would stay on the phone all hours of the night just to make sure I didn't die throughout the night. I've only seen it once but I will definitely see it again in the near future.
Parable (1964)
Not worth watching again.
I didn't enjoy this movie at all. It's about 15-20 minutes long. I had to watch it in Religion class and answer 10 questions about it. It has all these double meanings. The beginning scene changes angles all too many times. If its a carnival why is all the games/settings so far apart? The one where you hit the target to knock the man in the water is in the middle of no where. The scene where the clown dies makes no sense. The children didn't know what was happening so why did they all run out? The double meanings could be a wide range of anythings. The clown could be Jesus or just a good Samaritan. The black man could be an outcast of Jesus' time or just a man going through racism. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone.
