Bloody Murder (2000)
Good for hard core horror fans only
Well you can tell by the cover of this movie that it's a Friday the 13th rip off, and ignore the chainsaw, there's only one killing with a chainsaw. It didn't have much blood and gore, and what blood was shown looked like red spray paint. Less than half of the characters were killed. This movie strongly resembles the form of the early 80's slasher, "He Knows You're Alone". It had the potential to be really good and it wasn't. If you're a hard core horror fan looking for a modern camp slasher, rent it, you may like it, but you'll probably be disapointed. 6 out of 10.
He Knows You're Alone (1980)
Good suspense, but no blood!
When the movie starts, you'll think it's gunna suck, but give it about 25 minutes and it starts to get good. It kind of seems like they took the plot away from murdering ingaged girls so they could increase the body count. This movie had really good suspense and the killer looked scary, but the movie would have been so much better if there was blood, but they didn't show any blood! I think the only reason this movie is rated R is because of a brief breast exposure while a woman is taking shower. 6 out of 10.
Urban Legends: Final Cut (2000)
"These days, you've just got to have a sequel!
This movie started out pretty good, but i already knew that it was part of a movie within a movie because I'd seen the previews. The first killing was somewhat based on an urban legend but the rest were not. If you're smart you might be able to understand the killers motive but i thought it was just stupid. This movie was not original at all and was basically a rip off on Scream 3. Do not go see this if you hate sequels because this is a sequel to hate.
3 out of 10.
Sleepaway Camp (1983)
Sleepaway Camp
I think that "Sleepaway Camp" is an excellent horror movie that lives up to it's genre. It's scary and full of gore. Even though this film and the sequels kind of copy "Friday the 13th", they are way better because they have unique killing methods, and not just some brainless idiot with running around with a mechette. And as for the mystery part, the killer is not at all difficult to guess but the ending will shock you right out of your seat! If you want to see this film, I hope you don't scare or puke easy, because this movie makes "Friday the 13th" look tame! I give it a 9!
Carrie (1976)
Carrie
I have to say, this movie was not what I expected. I hated it the first time I saw it because I was expecting horror, which only came in the ending. I saw the sequel, which inspired me to see the original again, tthe second time I liked it. If you want to see it, remember, it's more drama that horror. Overall, it is very good and I give it a 9 [out of 10]
