Halloween H20: 20 Years Later (1998)
good but ...
This film is not bad as horror movies go, however did someone forget that SIX other halloween movies exist? This fact alone made this movie totally unbelievable and the fact that Jamie Lee Curtis is in this movie is the ONLY thing that saves it from being yet another Halloween trash film. I gave this film 5 out of ten. 4 for Jamie Lee Curtis and 1 for Michael.
Noah's Ark (1999)
appalling, terrible and embarrassing
Mini-series' are usually average at best, but this feeble minded rip-off is the single worst TV outing I have ever experienced. I wonder if the writers had ever looked at this seriously. The talents of Jon Voight and Mary Steenburgen are wasted in this awful shoddy piece of Hollywood trash. I am an Australian and I was watching this (as it was filmed here) and I thought to myself what a terrible misrepresentation of the Australian people and what an embarrassment to the film industry. Not to mention the 'poetic license' line used at the start of the show. Fair enough it is really only a few chapters in the Bible but c'mon since when was Lot a scumbag, Lot wasn't even born when Noah was around. IT WAS ABRAHAM THAT PLEADED WITH GOD. I could say more but I won't just avoid this useless excuse for show.
Crossroads (1986)
A fantastic blues adventure.
This movie is one for any one who ever wanted to play the blues and wanted to know what it takes to play the blues. The main character Eugene (Ralph Macchio) is a self-proclaimed blues man in search of a lost song by legendary blues guitarist Robert Johnson. Eugene tracks down one of Robert's friend's Blind Dog Fulton or Smokehouse Brown or Willie Brown! This film is heartwarming, intelligent, fun and rocky all at the same time. Although it's corny in parts it maintains a stability and realism that is rare in hollywood. The irony of this film is that Walter Hill will be remembered for western and action films and not this movie which is far and away the most entertaining movie he has ever made.
