Poet Yesika Salgado Gets Real About Writer's Block, Heartbreaking Success, and Going Back to Therapy
After the professional whirlwind of writing three critically acclaimed poetry books in a two-year span, Yesika Salgado now has the luxury of slowing down and tasting the mangoes. For Salgado, changing her once neck-breaking pace has been a challenge that has completely changed her relationship with herself and with her writing. Salgado's first book, affectionately named "Corazon," tells the story of yearning for romantic love yet finding love outside of romance. Her second Book "Tesoro" recounts having to survive machismo and the men we've loved; and her final book "Hermosa" is all about growth.
Salgado, 39, is a commanding voice in contemporary poetry. She is a two-time National Poetry Slam finalist, a Long Beach Slam Champion, and a recipient of the 2020 International Latino Book Award in Poetry. The Salvadorian-American writer's first book of poems is an acclaimed cult classic, taught in both college courses and high school English classes. Despite having...

The Boy Who Lived is changing his U.S. streaming address again.
All eight original “Harry Potter” films from Warner Bros. are returning to HBO Max next month, after spending a little less than a year on NBCUniversal’s Peacock.
Starting Sept. 1, the eight wizarding films based on J.K. Rowling’s best-selling novels will be available on HBO Max: “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone,” “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets,” “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban,” “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire,” “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix,” “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince,” and “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” Parts 1 and 2.
When HBO Max launched in May 2020, it included the octet of “Harry Potter” movies — but that was only a three-month carve-out on streaming rights the studio had sold to NBCU. In October 2020, Peacock began streaming the “Harry Potter” movies; now WarnerMedia...

Half a dozen reasons to shoot in São Paulo.
1. Diversity
One of São Paolo’s biggest attractions “is our diversity,” says SPcine president Viviane Ferreira. “By diversity, I mean the variety of locations — urbanistic and architectonic — but also the diversity of cultures, of histories that cross our city every day,” she adds. The city’s rich ethnic diversity includes an astonishing mix of Lebanese, Japanese, Italian and African people. São Paulo is considered the next largest Lebanese and Japanese city out of their respective countries. A heady variety in architectural styles, world-class cuisine, music and art allows it stand in for almost any big city in the world. The state of São Paolo also offers a wealth of green spaces and forests, a stunning array of landscapes and the world’s largest street Carnaval and LGBT Pride parade, both of which have appeared in films and series.

Shannon Woodward and Nicole Richie have been cast in the ABC comedy pilot “Bucktown,” Variety has learned.
In the multi-cam sitcom, after being dumped by her boyfriend and kicked out of her apartment on the eve of a big promotion, Amy (Woodward) finds refuge at her mom’s house in the blue-collar neighborhood where she grew up. Amy reconnects with her teenage niece, living there due to Amy’s sister’s latest rehab stint, and resolves to stay when she realizes that her mom and niece aren’t quite equipped to go it alone.
Richie will star as Jan Amy’s boss. Described as a self-centered force to be reckoned with, Jan sucks up all the energy in the room. She is very professional, except when it comes to the wildly unprofessional partnership she has with her husband – Finn.
Woodward will next be seen in the Apple series “Corazon” opposite Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

While Puerto Rico gets much of the shine, thanks in no small part to its historic role in cultivating reggaetón’s roots as well as the contemporary exploits of one Bad Bunny, Colombia effectively serves as Latin music’s modern epicenter. Of the finite number of top tier Spanish-language artists active today, three boast origins in Medellín, the country’s second-largest city — including J Balvin and Karol G, who’ve become power players on the global pop stage largely by way of high-profile bilingual collaborations with the likes of Beyoncé and Nicki Minaj.
