Content Media is introducing the comedy to buyers at Cannes.
Jeremy Irons and Jack Huston will star in the father-son buddy comedy An Actor Prepares, which Content Media is introducing to Cannes buyers this week.
Steve Clark directs the film from a screenplay he wrote with Thomas Moffett. David M. Rosenthal is producing with 3 Arts Entertainment’s Tom Lassally and Will Rowbotham.
Principal photography is scheduled to begin this autumn on the story about a philandering actor and his estranged, academic son who reconnect during a cross-country road trip to a wedding. CAA represents North American rights.
“This is pure performance and comedy gold,” said Content president of film Jamie Carmichael. “We can’t wait to see Mr Irons and Mr Huston go head to head in this wonderfully funny and emotional crowd-pleaser – and we’re thrilled to be working with Steve, David and our friends at 3 Arts.”...

British writer/producer/actor Stephen Merchant is best known for creating comedies like The Office, Life's Too Short, and HBO's underrated gem Hello Ladies, but now he's secured his highest-profile acting job yet: he'll appear opposite Hugh Jackman in the upcoming superhero film Wolverine 3.
This will be his biggest film credit by far. Thus far in his career, he's had roles in movies like Hot Fuzz, Burke & Hare, and Hall Pass, so a superhero film is definitely going to open him up to a wider audience who's probably unfamiliar with his work (as least as an actor). There's no word yet about who exactly he'll be playing, but as this Instagram video reveals, he's buzzed his hair for the role:

At this point, the official plot specifics of Wolverine 3 are still being kept under lock and key.
