He directed the Off Broadway production of Beth Henley's hit comedy, The Miss Firecracker Contest, which ran originally at the Manhattan Theatre Club, and later moved to a commercial run at the Westside Art Theater. It ran from May, 1984 to January, 1985. The production starred Holly Hunter, who repeated the role in the film version of the play. The production also featured Mark Linn Baker, Patricia Richardson and Margo Martindale. See more »
