The status of the “Call Me By Your Name” movie sequel may be in jeopardy, but author André Aciman is moving right along with the publication of the sequel novel this fall. Aciman and publisher Farrar, Straus and Giroux have announced an October release date for the “Call Me By Your Name” books sequel, now officially titled “Find Me.” The sequel’s synopsis has also been revealed, and it might come as a surprise to fans as it’s not entirely Elio and Oliver focused.
The “Find Me” synopsis from Fsg reads: “In ‘Find Me,’ Aciman shows us Elio’s father Samuel, now divorced, on a trip from Florence to Rome to visit Elio, who has become a gifted classical pianist. A chance encounter on the train leads to a relationship that changes Sami’s life definitively. Elio soon moves to Paris where he too has a consequential affair, while Oliver,...

Since the release of the Italy-set romance a few years back, there’s been more ink spilled over the potential of a Call Me By Your Name sequel than when it comes to all the writing surrounding Luca Guadagnino’s Suspiria, so we already apologize for adding to the problem. However, a substantial update has now occurred as author André Aciman has announced he’s written a follow-up novel and it’ll be arriving much sooner than expected. Titled Find Me, it’ll be released on October 29, 2019 via publisher Farrar, Straus and Giroux. See a synopsis below, which reveals where Elio, Oliver, and Samuel find themselves;
In Find Me, Aciman shows us Elio’s father Samuel, now divorced, on a trip from Florence to Rome to visit Elio, who has become a gifted classical pianist. A chance encounter on the train leads to a relationship that changes Sami’s life definitively.

Sometimes, character wins. Whilst the basic framework of Bridget Jones’s Baby will be familiar to anyone who watched the excellent first film and the piss-poor second, what screenwriters Helen Fielding, Emma Thompson and Dan Mazer have appreciated here is that the core central character of Bridget Jones is their greatest asset. They are not shy about playing to that.
As such, Bridget Jones’s Baby wastes no time reintroducing us to Bridget, and Renee Zellweger wastes no time effortlessly slipping back into her most popular role. We encounter Bridget this time alone, single, and being woken up on her 43rd birthday. She’s working on a television news show that’s being overtaken by clickbait culture. She’s back to square one, still scribbling in her diary, just a decade on. And once more, she’s stuck. Déjà vu? Yep, and that’s the point.

There’s something freeing in knowing that you won’t have to feel conflicted about reviewing something, in this case Dead of Summer. Sure, I’ll probably find a few enjoyable morsels here and there about this show but overall, these recaps are just going to be one big roast. Episode 2 recap begins below, and it’s a doozy. You can watch along on Hulu or on the official Freeform website, if you’re feeling masochistic.
First, let me just say that this episode title is the kind of pseudo-Stephen King nonsense I was hoping this series wouldn’t devolve into. The unending parade of pop culture references of the first episode should’ve raised red flags all over the place and naming the first episode after a GnR track was precocious enough but This is out of hand.
Anyway, the episode starts with a flashback, as usual, dating...

[Youtube "mNcdlLIOdNw"] Selena Gomez's long-awaited carpool karaoke segment aired on Monday night and it did not disappoint. The singer hopped in the car with Late Late Show host James Corden and the pair belted out tunes including, "Same Old Love," "Come & Get it," and "Hands to Myself," as they made a "quick" detour. Soon enough, the pair ended up at an amusement park as Gomez managed to continue the vocals to "Come and Get it," while Corden's lines were interrupted by his screams as the roller coaster the pair was riding picked up speed. Afterwards the two returned to the car,...

Christina Grimmie was a star long before The Voice. The late singer and New Jersey native, who was shot dead at age 22 at a concert in Orlando, Florida Friday, has been singing since age 5 and like many people from her generation, used the Internet to gain exposure and fans. Check out five facts about Grimmie. 1. She released her first record at age 17: Grimmie released the Ep Find Me in 2011, about three years before competing on The Voice. It debuted at number 35 on the Billboard 200 chart and contains the hit songs "Advice" and "Liar Liar." At the time of the LP's release, the singer had just moved to Los Angeles to further her...

Jimmy and Mike are very different people going through very different things, but the beats of their stories often share a theme. It’s the glue that holds their parallel tales of corruption together, especially since season 2 has them walking paths that seldom intersect. ‘Bali Ha’i’ gives us two stories in one. The first is the tale of Jimmy and Kim feeling dissatisfied with their successes and directionless in life, a meandering but sharply-written legal drama driven by oddball charm and an intriguing knack for poking holes in the fabric of daily life. The second is the tale of Mike, a man slowly immersing his soul in acid because he can see no other way to provide for his family. Taken together they riff on themes of comfort and and stagnation, stringing us along as we see just how miserable one person can get...

This week, a few thoughts for those of who have trouble liking our bodies...
Welcome to our regular Geeks Vs Loneliness part of the website, where we’re just trying to pass on one or two pieces of advice and tips to help those of us facing tricky times. There’s no miracle cure, no magic wand, but just a safe place to have a natter, then come together at the end unified in our love for Jason Statham movies.
This week: a revelation. No human being has a perfect body. Wouldn’t it be lovely if that was the end of the discussion, and we could all move on?
But we know that's not the case.
One of the favourite interviews I’ve ever done for the site was with the legendary Disney animator Glen Keane. In it, he said something that’s stuck with me ever since: “asymmetry is beautiful.

Kim Kardashian made headlines recently when she dyed her hair platinum blond, but her new look isn't sitting too well with a star across the pond. Serbian pop singer Jelena Karleusha, whose hair, makeup, and skintight outfits bear an uncanny resemblance to Kim's, caught wind of the reality star's outings during Paris Fashion Week and has spoken out to share her thoughts on the similarities. If that wasn't bold enough, she took it one step further by posting a photo from one of her concerts and writing, "I don't have a sex tape! WWE filmed Smackdown on Tuesday night from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The show broadcasts on Thursday and represents the final chance to push Sunday’s Fast Lane show.
The action opened with Daniel Bryan coming out to loud Yes chants. He was followed by The Miz and Mizdow, but Miz ended up sending Mizdow to the back.
Miz and Bryan contested the opening match, with Bryan picking up the win via the Yes Lock.
Ryback beat Kane with the Shell Shocked.
R Truth beat Bad News Barrett. Dean Ambrose caused the distraction, allowing Truth to execute a roll up for the pin. That’s not the best way to build up a pay per view match, with the champion losing non-title affairs on TV. It could indicate that Barrett is retaining this weekend.

As I fully decompressed from Wizard World Chicago, I looked towards the end of the Unshaven event calendar. On it: the Cincinnati Comic Expo – competing against the Cincy Comic Con, Cincinnati Comic Con, and the Cin City Comic Massacre (I think two out of three of those are real). Then, onto the mammoth New York Comic Con, which will boast near San Diego level of attendance. And, finally, gracefully, completing at the Kokomo Comic Con, in Kokomo, Indiana. You’ll get there fast, but take it slow. Sorry, it had to be said. And with it being said, I’m elated that once again, Unshaven will return.
The show itself feels like the comic cons I only heard about from old timers (like everyone on this site minus the Tweeks, Emily, and myself, heh heh heh). It’s pop-culture D-lister, and flashy/trashy exhibitor free. In their place, small publishers...
