For us heathens that brandish figurative razor blade-endowed flat caps stateside as (un)official members of the Peaky Blinders crew, it’s been a particularly strenuous month or so. Season 4 of Steven Knight’s addictive gangster drama has been airing new episodes weekly in Europe since November 15th. Considering the manner in which season 3 concluded, international employees of Shelby Company Ltd have been suffering through their own form of detox, desperately resisting spoilers each passing Wednesday.
Thankfully, Netflix will provide the fix by releasing all six episodes of season 4 on December 21st. It’s a largely meaningless conciliation for enthusiasts, no doubt, as the entirety of season 4 will have already premiered overseas by that time, but I digress.
For those needing a refresher – in the waning moments of season 3, the Shelby family were celebrating their triumph over the Russians inside Tommy’s office while he distributed the spoils of the Blinders’ latest victory amongst them.

I wasn't really sure what to expect when meeting Elisabeth Moss for the first time in Cannes. We were about to spend the next three days together doing interviews, events, and dinners. Of course, I'd known of her since she starred as First Daughter Zoey Bartlet on The West Wing in the late '90s and early 2000s and wowed us all in Girl, Interrupted, holding her own with Winona Ryder and Angelina Jolie. And I had just binge-watched The Handmaid's Tale and started Top of the Lake. Neither of her characters on those two TV shows were people I thought I would want to hang with, but luckily for me, Irl Lizzie is much more carefree, relaxed, and hilarious. In fact, she was a pleasure from the first minute we met. Literally - within one minute of meeting, she and my awesome, fun husband, Brian, bonded over baseball stats,...

To hear about Gary Faulkner is to know the meaning of the phrase “stranger than fiction.” This is a Chatty Cathy of a Colorado handyman who was visited by God one afternoon while receiving dialysis and given a mission. Of everyone on planet Earth, Gary was the one personally selected by his Lord and Savior to capture Osama Bin Laden in Pakistan and bring him to the United States for “justice and stuff.” Not the Marines. Not mercenaries or Al-Qaeda power struggles. No, the man for the job was Gary Brooks Faulkner. He isn’t crazy—at least not clinically diagnosed despite others trying—or in it for the publicity. He’s merely a concerned American proud of his awesome country and willing to do what the Big Boys can’t.

It’s probably safe to say that the final handful of episodes of this past season of Supernatural left fans reeling and discussing what’s to come as they suffer through the summer hiatus. In many ways Season 11 felt like a spiritual sequel to Season 5, largely due to the return of characters such as Chuck/God and Lucifer. And for those wanting to revisit the season, on September 6 you can relive all 23 episodes on either Blu-Ray or DVD.
Below you will find the full press release featuring a detailed synopsis as well as a full rundown of featurettes and episodes to be included. Longtime collectors should be happy to see yet another gag reel incorporated. Whether or not Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles do “Blue Steel” remains to be seen.

Things get debauched in the penultimate episode of series 3 as Tommy and the boys make a visit to the Russians…
This review contains spoilers.
Peaky Blinders has always been a crossbreed. Part-drama, part music-video, it plays its record collection loudly and deliberately, at times coming off like a studiously cool dad when your mates are round, at other times the marriage of music and visuals stopping you dead.
After his death, David Bowie’s self-written epitaph Lazarus took on autobiographical significance. Its appearance here then, borrowed to tell the story of another man, should have felt jarring to a fan. That not only it didn’t, but felt as if the song had been written for Tommy Shelby shows what a rare union Peaky Blinders makes between music and story. It’s also testament to the modernity of these characters that Bowie can sing about cell phones...

The Blood Stream mines the Internet for horror gold so you don’t have to, delivering streamable horror titles never before featured on Dread Central. Occasionally I’ll dredge up something good, maybe even great. To find those gems, I’ll have to sift through a lot of breathtakingly bad cinema. Enjoy!
Beneath Loch Ness has all the trappings of a Syfy original movie, though as far as I can tell that’s not how it came into existence. It has a plot built from half-assed homage and blatant rip-offs, obviously fake “location” settings, a Princess Bride synth score, and a list of B-movie has-beens longer than Nessie’s tail.
The framework here is basically a knock off of Jaws (of course it is), complete with a dopey local official who opposes preventing further deaths because it’s tourist season. The big difference is in this one, the incident that...

Hey folks! It’s good to be back. Filling in for Arik who has a family illness to deal with. (Hope your Gram gets well soon, Arik. Our wishes are with you and your family).
Also, since I wasn’t here last week, I don’t know if we’ve beaten around this bush or not, but could the main reason Sam is so affected by these trials be because he has Demon blood in him?
Anyways… now that I’ve gotten that out of my system, we open in the out-country backwater in Lost Creek, Colorado where Tommy Collins – hey, remember that kid Sam and Dean saved from the Wendigo like a forever ago? Yeah, that one – is on a vacation with his girlfriend.
