Lenny Henry stars in the voice cast for this year's 6-part Christmas BBC Radio 4 Neil Gaiman drama, Anansi Boys…
Like satsumas and hangovers, the annual BBC Radio 4 Neil Gaiman drama has established itself as an essential festive tradition. Following its 2013 Neverwhere dramatisation, Radio 4 brought us Good Omens, Stardust, and How The Marquis Got His Coat Back, as well as featuring The Truth Is A Cave In The Black Mountains as a book of the week, all at Christmastime.

The long-mooted remake of Flight Of The Navigator looks like it's back on...
A remake of Flight Of The Navigator, the 1986 sci-fi movie about a 12 year old boy who disappears for eight years and suddenly returns, has been on the Hollywood cards for some time.

Colin Trevorrow, director of Jurassic World, was once working on the project, but admitted back in 2015 that it’d “moved on”. But now comes the news that District 9 director Neill Blomkamp appears to be involved.
Over the last few months, Blomkamp has been taken the covers off his Oats Studios, that’s been showcasing a series of impressive short movies. But now, on his Twitter account, he’s teased that a feature is on the way too.

“They’re actually going to get away with this,” Dom whispers to herself at the end of Fredrick & Tanya.
She’s right. The Dark Army is going to get away with it. Whiterose has achieved her precious annexation of the Congo. 71 E Corp buildings have been destroyed, along with at least 4,000 people dead. Elliot and Mr Robot are defeated, their people’s revolution is torn to ribbons, each one of those ribbons picked up to be co-opted by yet another 1% puppet master. Trenton and Mobely are dead, framed for the E Corp building attacks. Angela is a time-travelling vegetable.

Netflix’s new six-part series Godless is a captivating take on the Western genre. Here's our spoiler-free review...
In the gun-slinging Old West of Netflix’s new six-part series Godless, the most piercing weapon a man could wield is the empty promise of religion. Settlers and profit-seekers might believe in manifest destiny, but in a land ruled by the ruthless, prayers will go unanswered. Absent a higher power, the townsfolk of Godless live in fear of a figure who uses blunt intimidation to his advantage. And there’s no one more up for the task than Jeff Daniels, who plays a gruff, one-armed madman named Frank Griffin.

The Martian’s Mackenzie Davis and Gugu Mbatha-Raw of Belle have nabbed roles in a new Black Mirror episode…
The new Netflix-backed episodes of Black Mirror are already believed to be shooting. According to The Wrap, Charlie Brooker and Annabel Jones are executive producing the new series as we speak.
The Wrap has published the inside scoop on one particular episode. According to their report, Owen Harris – who directed the heart-wrenching Be Right Back instalment with Hayley Atwell and Domnhall Gleeson – has returned to call the shots on one of the new Netflix episodes.
We’re told that Harris’ episode’s cast includes Mackenzie Davis of The Martian and That Awkward Moment (pictured above) and Gugu Mbatha-Raw of Belle, Concussion and Martha’s-sister-from-Doctor-Who fame (pictured below).
Everything seems to lining up quite nicely here, then, with behind-the-scenes talent from the original Channel 4 run teaming up with more impressive actors.

Charlie Brooker’s Black Mirror is making a comeback – Netflix will produce new episodes alongisde Brooker’s production company…
Your social media sites will not be safe, your politicians will not be safe, your farmyard animals will not be safe – there are new episodes of Charlie Brooker’s darkly satirical sci-fi series Black Mirror on the way.
Although Channel 4 produced all the episodes to date, Netflix is stepping in to helm the new run.
The streaming service – who massively boosted the series’ popularity across the pond when they added it to their collection - has signed a deal with Brooker’s House Of Tomorrow production company.
Specifically, this new alliance is committed to making ‘multiple new episodes’ of Black Mirror. Mr Brooker is said to be working on the stories already.

A platformer with a hint of stealth and tonnes of drama, Saboteur was an 8-bit classic. Ryan looks back...
Saboteur arrived slap-bang in the middle of a decade where ninjas were the height of cool. Films like Enter The Ninja, American Ninja and Ninja Terminator (directed by the irrepressible Godfrey Ho) were must-have rentals at video shops. And in the realm of videogames, the stealthy movements and deadly weapons of the shadow warrior soon began to proliferate.
It's difficult to describe just how startlingly brilliant Saboteur looked back in the 1980s. Released by Durell, which at the time made some of the very best games for 8-bit computers, Saboteur was nothing less than a ninja simulator - a game that gave you all the agility, resourcefulness and strength of a black-clad shinobi.
Your mission begins at night. Bobbing along silently in a dinghy, you arrive at a jetty with only...

We chatted to Charlie Brooker, Jon Hamm and Rafe Spall about tech dystopia Black Mirror’s terrific festive episode, White Christmas…
This interview contains a spoiler for, er, The Snowman.
Airing tonight on Channel 4 is White Christmas, a feature-length episode of Black Mirror that weaves together three tech-paranoia tales set against the backdrop of the festive season. Writer Charlie Brooker likens the special to a selection box - a sound description if you can imagine Cadbury’s substituting Crunchies and Curly Wurlies for tragicomic ruminations on voyeurism, torture and ostracisation.
It’s a terrific ninety minutes; funny, acerbic and eventually horrifying. It feels exactly like watching a condensed series of Black Mirror in a single sitting, which should be both recommendation and warning to fans of the show. However disturbing a reflection of our world Brooker shows us though, in his own words, “There’s nothing in that that...

The feature-length Black Mirror festive episode, a swipe at our social media age, now has a Jon Hamm-heavy trailer...
If Christmas specials often mark the time to go slightly easier on your characters and give them a nice cushty holiday, Charlie Brooker didn't get the memo.
Indeed, the best Christmas episodes are often the ones that shy away from conventional stuff and continue trying to tell the best story. We'd wager that Black Mirror: White Christmas is one of these, with a trailer showing how unflappably dark, cutting and serious the episode is.
With more Jon Hamm holding a slice of toast than you could shake a fistful of Sainsbury's giraffe bread at (yes, we did just speculate about which type of bread Brooker has deployed), here's the trailer...

Charlie Brooker has spoken to Digital Spy about the lack of computer game shows on mainstream TV, arguing that they are neglected because of the false stereotype that the medium is aimed primarily at children.

Charlie Brooker is no doubt a great journalist, an arguably decent comedian, and has created some fantastic shows about the strange and horrible world of working in television. Not just that: he also created Black Mirror, a TV show about what technology has done and might do in the future, should we continue to be so reliant on it. It’s a wonderfully dark and miserable place which tickles me pink.
One idea that seems to have slipped Brooker’s mind, though, is Gameswipe. Gameswipe’s first and only episode aired on 29th September 2009 in the UK, so it perplexes me as to why he’s so hesitant to create another. Here’s a list of 5 reasons why Charlie Brooker should make Gameswipe: Part 2 in the not-too-distant future.

This year GameCity – the UK’s biggest indie games festival – will be running for a mammoth 7 days, from 20th-27th October. Now entering its 7th year, the GameCity team have already announced some of the attractions for this year’s festival with a full lineup to follow in the run-up to the Nottingham event, but here are 7 things I’d personally love to see (some more likely than others).
1. Charlie Brooker to Judge the GameCity Prize
The desire of festival fans to see self-proclaimed gamer Charlie Brooker sit on the GameCity Prize judging panel has been knocking round the Twittersphere since last year’s festival, and since this year’s judges are still closely under wraps it remains a tantalising possibility.
The jury for last year’s inaugural GameCity Prize was drawn from a broad spectrum of figures outside of the game industry itself – ranging from musician Nitin Sawhney to...
