Four chefs return to the kitchen to win the ultimate prize. The appetizer round includes a chicken-stuffed watermelon, egg roll wrappers, bok choy, and mushroom ketchup. The entrée round includes basket ingredients as lamb neck, natto, white nectarines, street corn nachos. The dessert round must include longan fruit, matcha cream puffs, chocolate coconut almonds, chow mein noodles. One of these chefs will move onto the Grand Finale Championship.

Chefs are competing to develop tasty foods using unique basket items. The appetizer round must include chicken hearts, spaghetti ring ice pops, black summer truffles, and avocado fries. The entrée round features fried chicken bao, turkey breast, horseradish leaves, and instant lemon pudding mix. The theme for this episode is producing at least one smoked item in each round. Chefs are using unique ingredients such as sablefish, smoked baba ghanoush, marshmallow bouquet, and chioggia beets in the appetizer round. Elk ribeye, Ancho Chile Liqueur, marrow bones, and fava beans were the mandatory ingredients in the entrée round. Pastry chefs compete in three rounds of a special chocolate desserts competition that feature a crunchy round, a gooey round, and a fruity round rather than an appetizer, entrée, and dessert round. Ingredients featured in the crunchy round include milk and chocolate chip cookies, chocolate-covered shrimp chips, fermented honey, and tamarillos. Kumquats, miso, chocolate ganache tarts, and spicy chocolate wings are mandatory ingredients in the gooey round. Two chefs will compete in the final fruity round featuring white chocolate banana pudding, freeze dried raspberries, sweet beef jerky, and ruby chocolate candy bars to become the Chopped champion.
