Mumbai, Feb 18: Since making his debut in 2009 with "Kal Kissne Dekha", Jackky Bhagnani has done just a handful of films. He says it's not because he is choosy, but because he wants to be taken seriously as an actor by the audience.
He will next be seen in "Youngistaan".
"I have not become choosy, this is all I get! I am doing this ('Youngistaan') because I want to do all kinds of films. In my career of four years, I am struggling to make people take me seriously as an actor and give me credit for it and not just take me as being a producer's son or a dancer or cute looking," the 29-year-old said here at a press meet.

Post his previous two films Kal Kissne Dekha and F.A.L.T.U, Jackky Bhagnani is ready with his next Ajab Gazabb Love. However, the film which was scheduled for release this Dusshera, on October 24, taking advantage of the public holiday, has been postponed.
Ajab Gazabb Love will now release two days later, on Friday, October 26. The reason for the apparent delay in release is that many single screens will not be able to screen the film. This inability to feature the latest release comes thanks to the distribution of the recently released Student Of The Year which prohibits its discontinuation to make way for newer releases.
Producer Vashu Bhagnani has been vocal about the delay saying that he would rather wait for Friday which also coincides with Bakri Eid and have a uniform release, rather than have a staggered release in half of the theaters on October 24.

Though Sanjay Gadhvi was in a brief oblivion after that, he has now returned to making films with Ajab Gazabb Love. Now if reports trickling in from the sets of the film are any indication, Gadhvi has returned to vintage form with this love story that takes him back to his roots of romantic entertainers like Mere Yaare Ki Shaadi Hai and Tere Liye. "He is someone who understands commercial cinema and is quite a pro in his work. I have worked with some new directors in the last two-three years but looking at him, I can say that he can be left entirely on his own to do the job", says producer Vashu Bhagnani who roped in new filmmakers for his son Jackky's launch pad...

Omi wowed everyone with his hilarious performance in the film. However, Bollywood was not on the cards for Omi. He had auditioned for the film on a whim. The Us-based actor wasn’t well-versed with Hindi and gave his audition.

The super bumper opening that Kabir Khan’s New York has generated in the metro cities and the multiplexes, underlines the importance of the right way of marketing.
Just two weeks back, Vashu Bhagnani’s much hyped Kal Kissne Dekha had opened to a lukewarm response despite being a far better promoted filmin terms of money spent than Yash Raj. But the major difference between the marketing of the two films was that, while the marketing of New York gave the audience an insight into the film, the marketing promotions of Kal Kissne Dekha left the public wondering what the film was all about.
One may argue that New York had established stars whereas Kal Kissne Dekha introduced newcomers such as Jackky Bhagnani and Vaishali Desai.

Both Hindi releases that arrived over the weekend gone by, Kal Kissne Dekha and Zor Lagaa Ke Haiya, have failed at the box office. While former was a much publicized and promoted launch vehicle of Jackky Bhagnani and Vaishali Desai, the latter was just not promoted at all in spite of the presence of Mithun Chakravorty.
However, audiences didn’t care about either of the two films and though it was expected that Kal Kissne Dekha may still attract a sizeable chunk of audience and grow with word of mouth as the shows progressed, that was.

After having won many a beauty contests, the svelte Vaishali is now all set to test Bollywood waters. And if the response to her acting in Kal Kissne Dekha is anything to go by, then, one can easily say: A Star is born! Producer Vashu Bhagnani’s war with his director Vivek Sharma just got murkier.
One of Vivek Sharma’s demands on his producer is to let Shah Rukh Khan share the publicity hoardings with debutant Jackky Bhagnani.
But Vashu protests, “Vivek had worked with Shah Rukh in Bhootnath. He came and told me he wanted to bring Shah Rukh into a cameo in Kal Kisne Dekha and now he wants it publicized. How can I single out Shah Rukh for prominence when there’re other big stars making guest appearances in Kal Kisne Dekha? My motive is to make a movie for and promote my son. The big stars.

All eyes were on producer Vashu Bhagnani and the multiplex chain of Big Cinemas what with their production Kal Kissne Dekha was slated for release on coming Friday. Vashu was all set to release his son Jackky Bhagnani’s debut vehicle in single screens and Big Cinemas chain of multiplexes. But now it has been confirmed that Vashu has postponed the release of his film ahead.
The reason for the push ahead, Vashu claims is that the ongoing strike between producers and multiplexes is most likely to end by coming weekend. He feels instead of rushing in for a release, its better to wait for few.
