Crunchyroll is continuing to expand its cinematic offerings on its streaming service with the addition of more titles it has recently released theatrically, including That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime The Movie: Scarlet Bond, The Quintessential Quintuplets Movie, and Mobile Suit Gundam Cucuruz Doan’s Island. Additionally, a few titles that have never been available to stream outside of Japan will also be available on Crunchyroll, including Free! -the Final Stroke- Part 1 and 2, To Every You I’ve Loved Before, and To Me, The One Who Loved You.

Crunchyroll continues to expand its cinematic collection with hot new titles arriving this September for the first time on the anime streaming service, including the blockbuster hit Jujutsu Kaisen 0, the prequel movie to the critically acclaimed anime series Jujutsu Kaisen, as well as one new movie each Thursday.
The film from Toho Animation, Jujutsu Kaisen 0, is based on Jujutsu Kaisen 0 (Jump Comics / Shueisha), the prequel manga to the popular series written and illustrated by Gege Akutami. Japan in Frankfurt! After two online editions, the 22nd Nippon Connection Film Festival, which will be held May 24 to 29, 2022, will bring the most exciting current Japanese films and culture programs to the city again. Around 100 short and feature-length films showcase the complete range of Japanese cinema – from newcomers to established directors, from anime to documentaries. The film program includes one world premiere, 24 international, eleven European and 30 German premieres. This year’s thematic focus “Stories Of Youth – Coming Of Age In Japan”, supported by the Kulturfonds Frankfurt RheinMain, deals with the lives and challenges of young people in Japan.

Universal animation Sing 2 is the latest challenger to the six-week consecutive run atop the UK-Ireland box office chart of Sony behemoth Spider-Man: No Way Home this weekend.
Sing 2 is opening in 635 sites – a 14.4% increase on the 555-site opening of first title Sing in 2017. That film took a huge £6.25m at a location average of £11,261; this figure was boosted to a £10.5m total opening by two days of previews that brought in £4.19m.
That is still the biggest-ever opening for an original animated film, ahead of the likes of The Secret Life of Pets...
