Arunoday Sigh
By taking off his shirt and showing off his six pack in Aisha, 6 ft 4 inch tall actor Arunoday Singh earned himself a ?himbo? tag. Not just that, he also invited a flood of offers for similar roles in other films, something that the 28-year-old actor is disappointed by.
From a political family (he is the grandson of the Congressman, the late Arjun Singh), Arunoday found his calling in the arts during his boarding school days. Two movies, Dead Poet?s Society and On the Waterfront, awakened a desire to perform. University in America followed by acting school in New York led to odd acting jobs in New York and London. But the struggle got too much and eventually Arunoday found himself in Mumbai, armed with a wish list of directors and a dream. In 2009 he debuted in Piyush Jha?s Sikandar and since he has been in four movies ? Aisha,...

Sudhir Mishra has just fought a long and hard battle with the censor board again! This time its over the content of his latest much-delayed ensemble drama Tera Kya Hoga Johny. Apparently, the censor board objected to a sequence showing a police-man trying to rape the young hero (Sikandar Aggarwal) in custody. Sudhir not only put his foot down, he refused to cut down the sequence. Laments the veteran-auteur, "Why does this always happen to me? It's almost as if there's a separate censorship code for me from other filmmakers. Invariably my films get into a situation on matters that are allowed to remain in other people's films." Sudhir finds it strange that the censors objected to a sequence of atrocity in police custody. "It isn't as if I was showing something that doesn't happen. And I didn't even show the boy being sodomized. I showed the cop attempting it.

So when for her second film Sikandar she had to speak in Hindi and Urdu, she found an easy way out. “It was tough. For Black I didn’t have to speak at all. Back home in Auroville I got myself a Hindi coach.”
