If you thought Teresa Giudice revealed all in her post-prison memoir, Turning the Tables, think again.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey star gets really real in her follow-up, Standing Strong, even confessing that some of what she wrote in the first book wasn’t exactly true. Here are seven things we learned from Standing Strong, available everywhere now.
1. Teresa finally blames her husband, Joe, for their situation.
In her first book, Teresa never explicitly blamed her husband, Joe, for getting them into trouble with the law. Now, nearly a year out of prison, she’s changed her tune. In fact, a lot of the book involves Teresa working through her anger and resentment toward Joe, who is currently serving his own three-year sentence behind bars.
“Joe was a pretty good husband,” she says at one point. “Until he royally f**ked up.”
Teresa goes on to call Joe “stupid” and admits she finds it hard to...

In conversation, it’s impossible not to fall head-over-heels for Ronnie Spector. Even over a tiny cell phone speaker, her strong voice bursts forth with electric excitement, full-bodied passion, and the occasional flirtatious giggle. It’s the voice—a mix of street tough New Yorker and tender schoolgirl vulnerability—that provided the heart, soul and swagger of the iconic ’60s group the Ronettes. Alongside her sister Estelle Bennett and cousin Nedra Talley, the trio scored hits with pop masterpieces like “Be My Baby,” “Walking in the Rain,” and “I Can Hear Music.” Spector’s incendiary live performances established her as...

Turning the tables on the archetypal zombie movie, it’s the lead character here that harbours a taste for flesh. The titular girl with all the gifts is Melanie (Sennia Nanua), a pre-teen ‘hungry’ who exhibits enough distinctly human behaviour (smiling, talking, showing emotion and solving complex problems) to make her extremely valuable in this desolate post-infection England. The Girl With All the Gifts wears its influences on its sleeve, bearing a distinct narrative, thematic and aesthetic similarity to the 2013 videogame The Last of Us. However, there is enough fresh blood running through its veins to make this the most original zombie movie since 28 Days Later. The Girl With All the Gifts is adapted from the 2014 book of the same name by M.R. Carey. Given the relatively close proximity to the release of the aforementioned game, any narrative similarities are purely coincidental. However, the fact that The Last of Us,...

Teresa Giudice had a strong support system while she was prison, especially from her Real Housewives of New Jersey costars. "They've been amazing," Giudice, 43, tells People in an exclusive video. "They've reached out before, during and after." The most supportive housewife was her sister-in-law Melissa Gorga, she says. Giudice and Gorga haven't always gotten along in the past, and this entire experience helped them repair their relationship. "I think Melissa and I just realized what's important in life, that family is the most important thing." Giudice says. "We're just going to both be there for each other and not let anything get in the way.
