Storyline
Plot Summary |
Carly Beth Caldwell seems to be a target for nearly every joke played in her school. So one Halloween, Carly Beth decides to get revenge. She steals a new mask at a recently-opened store, in a off-limits room, much against the owner's consent. However, this scary new mask seems to be a little too scary, and Carly Beth is having trouble getting it off, leading her and her friend Sabrina to realize that the mask may have attached itself to Carly Beth's face. Trivia | According to R.L. Stine's autobiography, the crew was going to use a rubber worm in the scene where Carly Beth bites into the sandwich and finds a half-chewed worm, but Kathryn Long insisted on eating a real worm to make it realistic. He later revealed it took twelve attempts with a new worm each time. See more » |
Goofs | Carly Beth's mother mentioned the plaster head can break easily. While Carly Beth is wearing the mask, she throws a stick with the head on top to the ground. Afterwards, she picks up the head completely unharmed when it should have been broken. Towards the end, she uses the head to scare off the other masks so she could get her real face back, when in fact the head should be broken and Carly Beth would have been stuck wearing the mask as her face.
