Peacock and USA Network are ready to introduce reality TV fans to a brand new family. On The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys, fans will get an in-depth look at the life of a ranching family. The series is being called the real-life Yellowstone. While it makes sense that a show about a ranching family would be developed, The McBees aren’t the only successful ranchers in the country. So, why were they tasked with sharing their lives with the world? Apparently, the idea for the show only took root after a family member appeared on a dating show. Joe Millionaire: For Richer or Poorer helped the McBee family get their show.

It’s make or break for McBee Farm and Cattle on the new docuseries The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys. This new reality series centers on patriarch Steve McBee and his four sons Steven Jr. (Joe Millionaire: For Richer or Poorer), Jesse, Cole, and Brayden as they run the family biz together. A venture capital firm deal of more than $100 million could transform them into a billion-dollar business or their high-stakes approach could lead them into financial ruin under a mountain of debt. Cameras also capture the dynamic between the brothers who are working to impress their dad in hopes they’ll be next in line to run the company. Outside farming and ranching, Steve, a recent divorcé, has gotten back in the saddle of dating. However, things get a little dicey with one of the women being Galyna, McBee’s CFO. And we haven’t even begun discussing his kids’ love lives.

Yellowstone is coming to an end, and it's not only Paramount who will suffer.
As the key to Yellowstone streaming, Peacock loses a golden goose, too.
What better way than to introduce a real-live ranch family who, like the Duttons, are fighting for their future in a dying world?
Peacock has announced a new original unscripted series, The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys.
The series, from Jeff Jenkins Productions, follows patriarch Steve McBee, the hard-working founder of the family business, and his four sons:
Steven Jr. the business-minded heir apparent; Cole, the underdog who works hard in the field; Jesse the quiet cowboy, and Brayden, who has the least interest in farming.
The docuseries reveals the high-stakes world of farming and ranching in rural Missouri and what it takes to be a real American cowboy.
Viewers will also get a behind-the-scenes look into a family dynasty and the sibling rivalry...

Mike Darnell has stepped down from his role as President of Unscripted Television at Warner Bros. after a decade at the studio, he announced in a statement Thursday.
“Letting yourself go is always difficult… I took a deep breath, called myself on Zoom and told myself it was time to leave,” he wrote. “I took it surprisingly well. Actually, Channing approached me a couple of months ago, and although I was given the opportunity to stay… it would have meant more changes for both my personal deal and to the general structure of the division.
Darnell added that “a couple of new ventures have come my way” during the discussions, but “even so, deciding to leave was difficult.”

The dark prince of the unscripted world is plotting his next chapter: Mike Darnell is exiting Warner Bros. Television Group after a decade with the studio, a move he decided to make after a restructuring would have altered his role at the company. Darnell, who had served as president of unscripted television for Warner Bros., and Warner Bros. Television Group chairman/CEO Channing Dungey were set to announce the change on Thursday.
As part of the new structure, Darnell won’t be replaced; instead, the alternative and unscripted divisions that reported to Darnell will now report directly to Dungey. Darnell had a year left in his current contract with the studio.
“Letting yourself go is always difficult…I took a deep breath, called myself on Zoom and told myself it was time to leave,” Darnell said in a statement, in his usual unique style. “I took it surprisingly well,” he quipped.

For nearly four decades, the Big Three networks dominated television, with any attempts at a fourth competitor quickly trounced. However, on October 9, 1986, a fourth network launched and steadily gained affiliates by offering innovative programming, often appealing to a younger demographic.
Fox has been the most successful network beyond the Big Three, despite a somewhat shaky beginning. The network launched with a short-lived late night talk show initially hosted by Joan Rivers, “The Late Show.” Then, beginning in April 1987, Fox gradually rolled out original primetime programming, starting with Sunday night premieres of two shows whose concepts were new to regular network programming. “Married. . .with Children” brought raunch to the family sitcom genre, raising the ire of conservative watchdog groups to the point that demands were made for a boycott; ironically, this actually brought attention to the series, and it achieved a whole new level of success. “The Tracey Ullman Show” delivered...

Jonnie Davis is leaving ABC Signature.
Davis has been President of the Disney-owned studio since 2019.
He said it has been a “privilege” to work on shows such as ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy, FX’s Fleishman Is In Trouble and Hulu’s This Fool.
The move, however, is not a precursor to merging ABC Signature and 20th Television and, despite a multitude of rumors, they will continue to operate as two separate divisions. The company is currently searching for a replacement for Davis.
Davis’ departure is a surprise given how close he has been to Disney Entertainment Co-Chairman Dana Walden.
When he moved from 20th Television to ABC Signature, he was able to lure a handful of big-name talents across with him include Drew Goddard and Octavia Spencer.
Davis took over the role of President of ABC Studios in July 2019, four months after Disney’s $71.3B of key Fox assets and...

‘Joe Millionaire’ Star Kurt Sowers Explains Split From Amanda Pace and Carolyn Moore’s Dramatic Exit
At the end of Fox’s “Joe Millionaire: For Richer or Poorer,” Steven McBee and Kurt Sowers walked away with love — or so it seemed. McBee chose Calah Jackson on the finale, and the pair are still going strong nearly four months later. Sowers, on the other hand, chose Amanda Pace, and while they tried to date when the show wrapped in October, they broke up during the first week of December.
“Things are just a lot different when you are dating in the real world. It’s difficult to hang out and stuff. We snuck around and hung out a little bit, and I just think we both realized after the show we’re not really a good fit for each other,” he tells Variety. “We have very different lives, I think, in general, and our futures look a little bit different.”
Below, Sowers opens up about his up...

The men will be discussing their journey and talking about love, so if you're not ready to hear what they have to say, please return when you've seen the show.
This is your last warning! Everyone else? Let's get started!
What a wild ride that was!
Fox's reimagination of Joe Millionaire with the Richer or Poorer edition switched things up in a very satisfying way.
While the original run of the franchise featured one man who was not a millionaire, trying to pull off that kind of secret in 2022 just wouldn't fly.
It's too easy to spoil secrets in this interconnected world of social media and influencers, which we watched unfold on the show when Steven realized he followed one of the contestants!
Instead, Joe Millionaire: For Richer or Poorer introduced a concept much easier to follow.

Which woman hit the jackpot? During Thursday’s final episode of Fox’s “Joe Millionaire” reboot, Kurt Sowers and Steven McBee both had to choose which woman they wanted to continue a relationship with outside of the show.
Going into the finale, millionaire Steven narrowed it down to Calah and Annie, while Kurt was torn between Amanda and Carolyn. Not only did the women not know which of them the men would choose, they also didn’t know which man was the millionaire.
The men then had final dates — all of which made things even more confusing. During the day, Steven spent the afternoon paddle boarding with Annie, and the evening cooking with Calah — both of which went perfectly. Meanwhile, Kurt played tennis with...

It has all come down to this!!
Tonight is the big night when two men choose the potential love of their lives. One man is a millionaire. The other is an ordinary joe.
Will either of them find the love they're seeking?
We've got an exclusive clip of Kurt Sowers getting close to one of his remaining two main squeezes.
Kurt was drawn to Carolyn immediately upon her arrival.
It's almost a primal urge, and he's unable to pull away, even if he wanted to.
Wanting to wasn't a possibility until Kurt opened himself to Amanda, the bubbly blonde, his avocado.
With that development, Kurt found himself torn. He wasn't the only one.
Carolyn turned up the heat, hoping to secure a commitment from Kurt.
Amanda, meanwhile, pulled back, afraid to fully commit to a guy who might be choosing another.
It's not easy to imagine being in their positions.

The Law & Order revival got off to a winning start last week, but the series took a massive dip in its second week.
Law & Order: Season 21 Episode 2 had 4.3 million total viewers and a 0.4 rating.
A week ago, the series returned after a lengthy hiatus with 5.8 million viewers and a 0.7 rating -- helping it tie for the top spot on the night.
NBC probably expected a better hold week-to-week, but we'll need to wait to see how the show holds up in the coming weeks.
More people could have caught it on streaming this week, so time will tell.
Law & Order: Svu (4.4 million/0.6 rating) inched down a tenth, while Law & Order: Organized Crime was steady at 3.1 million viewers and a 0.5 rating.
ABC's Station 19 (4.3 million/0.6 rating) and Grey's Anatomy (3.8 million/0.6 rating) were down a bit from their midseason launches, while Big Sky (2.3 million/0.3 rating) was steady.

Things are getting competitive on Joe Millionaire: For Richer or Poorer as the women fight for Kurt’s attention in the latest episode, “Campfire, Cuddles, S’more Drama.” Most of the drama surrounds Carolyn’s jealousy of Amanda and Kurt’s bonding as teased in the exclusive first look clip, above. “I’m annoyed right now in this moment at the thought of Kurt willing to throw away a very special thing like the connection that we have,” Carolyn says in the sneak peek. (Credit: Fox) Why is she so annoyed? Because to her, “Kurt and Amanda, their connection it’s not really real, and it’s kind of sad,” according to Carolyn. The observation takes place on a group camping trip as Amanda and Kurt sit, chat, and laugh together on the sidelines while other girls play a game of cornhole. Despite Carolyn’s opinion on the matter,...

Class is back in session as CBS’ Young Sheldon returned to the top of Thursday’s primetime broadcast ratings, besting a couple of premieres and mainstays.
Returning from the holiday break into the new year, CBS’ entire comedy slate rose from previous episodes. Young Sheldon earned a 0.7 rating in the 18-49 demo and 7.20 million viewers, up in both counts in early Nielsen Live+Same Day numbers from its last episode in December.
In the fall, Young Sheldon would typically be the best-performing non-sport program as Fox would win the night with Thursday Night Football. However, Fox opted instead this week for the two-hour premiere of Joe Millionaire: For Richer or Poorer, allowing Young Sheldon to win the night overall.
Going head-to-head with Joe Millionaire from 8-10 p.m. was the premiere of ABC”s Women of the Movement (0.4, 2.97M). Both premieres tied with the latest episode of The Blacklist...

Are you ready to meet the bachelors from Joe Millionaire: For Richer or Poorer?
Of course, you are!
If the conversation we had with these two charismatic gentlemen is any indication, the lucky women vying for their attention are going to have a tough choice.
If you have missed previous news on the revival of Joe Millionaire, there's a twist to the original show that last aired in 2003.
There isn't one fellow contending for women's hearts, but two, which is an excellent change to the series format.
With social media and the internet as we know it in 2022, the 2003 format wouldn't have worked.
The show title was a ruse, introducing the bachelorettes to a man believed to be a millionaire only to pull the rug out from under them with the reality that the bachelor wasn't a millionaire after all.

When you’re a streaming service, there’s only one way to celebrate the New Year. And that’s by IP mining to bring back a franchise that had no business in coming back!
With its list of new releases for January 2022, Hulu is raiding CBS’s closet and premiering How I Met Your Father, a continuation of the sitcom How I Met Your Mother. Complaints about unnecessary rebooting aside, perhaps its worth giving the Hillary Duff starring series a chance. If nothing else, telling a story about 2022 from a future perspective might play well.
Aside from Himyf, there aren’t any other Hulu original series to speak of. Instead, Hulu is opting to once again beef up its film library. It’s hard to over-exaggerate just how big of a phenomenon “Joe Millionaire” was in 2003. Part of the early “Outlandish Age” of reality TV — particularly under the watch of then-Fox alternative boss Mike Darnell — “Joe Millionaire” set ratings records for an unscripted series, some of which still stand to this day.
“Joe Millionaire” ended its finale with nearly 40 million viewers tuning in to catch its big reveal — in which an unsuspecting woman discovered that the wealthy man she was dating was more hundredaire than millionaire. After the sequel fizzled, however, the franchise was shelved and sat dormant for nearly two decades. Until now.
The new series “Joe Millionaire: For Richer or Poorer,” which premieres in January, follows two men: One wealthy, one not so much. As they date 20 women — who know just one “Joe” is a millionaire, but don’t known who — the goal is to find true love while also learning whether wealth vs.

Nearly 20 years later, “Joe Millionaire” returns this January with a revised format that puts a twist on the original ratings smash. But at least one thing remains the same in “Joe Millionaire: For Richer or Poorer” — and that’s the presence of a butler, assisting the Joes and driving the action. Variety can now reveal who the show’s new butler is: Actor, musician, author and celebrity impersonator Martin Andrew.
As butler, Andrew will also serve as host of “Joe Millionaire: For Richer or Poorer” and act as a guide for the contestants. The original 2003 “Joe Millionaire” featured both a butler and a host (Alex McLeod); in this new version, Andrew takes on both roles.
“I honestly fell in love with this guy,” said executive producer SallyAnn Salsano. “It was the right fit. This guy was great. I felt like it’s definitely more integrated [than the 2003 version]. I feel like this gentleman...

“O.J.: Made in America,” which just landed an Oscar nomination for Best Documentary, isn’t just a win for Espn or its producers. It’s perhaps an even bigger victory for unscripted TV.
The Academy Awards may consider “O.J.” a film, but it’s truly a TV show, and its success is a good example of how the unscripted world is finally breaking out of its long malaise. The success of docuseries like “The Jinx” and “Making a Murderer,” and recent reality entries like A&E’s “Leah Remini: Scientology & the Aftermath,” Showtime’s “The Circus,” CNN’s “United Shades of America with W. Kamau Bell,” Netflix’s “Chef’s Table” and many more has helped showcase how diverse and wide-ranging unscripted TV can really be.

“Picture this: Sicily,” jokes Evan Marriott, invoking Estelle Getty’s signature Golden Girls preamble to set the scene for his surreal experience filming Fox’s Joe Millionaire 13 years ago. Actually, the location was France’s Ruhr valley countryside, and Marriott recalls that most nights, he’d be sitting with the windows swung open. “I had this beautiful view, and I would sit there every night with a beer in my hand and the phone in my ear. I was talking to a girl named Amy, who I broke up with before I went to do the show, because I was trying to get back together with her.” It can’t be, you might say. After all, the whole premise of Millionaire was for Marriott to be wooed by 20 women led (falsely) to believe he was worth seven figures when, in reality, their sugar-daddy dreamboat was a construction worker earning $19,000 a...

Wtf is she wearing?! Heidi Montag raised some eyebrows at We tv's "Evolution Of The Relationship Reality Show" event in Los Angeles on Thursday night, for sporting some very usual arm accessories. The former "Hills" star stepped out with strips of black tape on her right arm as she posed for pictures -- and packed on the Pda -- with hubby Spencer Pratt. Doesn't that look like the tape they use to treat sports injuries?! Whoa! See "Joe Millionaire" Star Evan Marriott Now! The blonde bombshell paired her strange accessory with a black tank top, leather pants and a hair-raising 'do that swept her long locks away from her face. Another former reality star to turn heads was Darva Conger, who you might recognize from 2000's "Who Wants to Marry a Multi-Millionaire?" The now-49-year-old beauty famously "won" the show, marrying Rick Rockwell on the season finale. Two months after the show aired,...

Is this the newest castmember of Duck Dynasty? Nope, it's Joe Millionaire's Evan Marriott! Over a decade after the former reality star became a pop culture phenomena on the 2003 Fox series, which was canceled after just two seasons, Marriott attended the Evolution of Relationship Reality Shows discussion at The Paley Center for Media in Beverly Hills, on Thursday, where he appeared completely unrecognizable, shocking former fans of the short-lived show. Sporting a bushy beard and a fuller figure, Marriott grinned as he posed for pics in a basic white tee and jeans, looking nothing like his former clean-shaven self, who stole women's' hearts as one-time reality show...

Twelve years have passed since Joe Millionaire tricked 20 women into thinking they were in the running to marry the heir to a multimillion-dollar fortune, and star Evan Marriott looked every inch the average Joe this Thursday at We tv's Evolution of Relationship Reality Shows panel at the Paley Center for Media.
Now 40, the construction worker – and, briefly, underwear model – was not particularly talkative at the Beverly Hilton-hosted event and did not stop for reporters on the red carpet.
When asked about his beard, Marriott joked that he "grew this overnight. All I do is think about a beard and it comes in.
