"I don't think you know what it's like for your partner to come alive as soon as you go to bed." Apple has unveiled an official trailer for a streaming series called Still Up, a British comedy featuring episodes directed by newcomer John Addis. This seems like a big pitch original idea, that will either become a big hit or being forgotten quickly. Bonded by insomnia, best friends Lisa (an impulsive & free-spirited aspiring illustrator) and Danny (a socially anxious yet gifted journalist) stay connected to each other late into the night and find their way through a world of wonderfully weird surprises as their relationship deepens. There are no secrets, except their feelings for each other, and while the world sleeps they spend their long nights talking despite never meeting. Antonia Thomas & Craig Roberts star as Lisa & Danny, with Blake Harrison, Lois Chimimba, Luke Fetherston, & Samantha Spiro. As a fellow insomniac,...

Exclusive: SallyAnn Salsano’s Emmy-nominated 495 Productions is expanding its executive team, with two high-level hires and promotions for two longtime execs. The company has added Dave Hamilton as EVP of Content, along with Kirk Anderson, who joined 495 Prods. as Head of Production in January, and has elevated Josh Peters to Head of Development and Megan Pickett to VP of Development.
“I’m psyched to have a great team with me to tackle our returning shows, our new shows and whatever we whip up next.” said Salsano, “I have known Dave since we made shows together at VH1 in the 2000’s and I’ve always admired his skillset as an executive who can also go into the field to produce. Kirk and I met years ago working at The Bachelor and his can-do attitude was always there, he brought that same attitude to 495 six months ago. His experience has been...

We thought we couldn’t be more excited about Spider-Man: Miles Morales until Game Informer went and released a new gameplay video that showcases Spider-Cat in action. We’re not going to lie, the following story is very cute.
It seems that at some point during his adventure, Miles Morales will be tasked with rescuing a local bodega cat who, for unknown reasons we won’t pry into in accordance with the laws that dictate our ability to interfere with the business of bodega cats, has found himself trapped in a warehouse full of thugs. In any case, Morales soon dispatches of the cat threatening fiends and escorts the cat in a backpack to safety.
It’s then that we learn that this cat’s name is Spider-Man and that he resides at a local bodega where the man behind the counter welcomes him back warmly. The man goes so...

Spider-Man: Miles Morales is fast becoming one of the first must-have games for next-gen consoles, specifically Sony’s PlayStation 5, for which Insomniac’s sequel is, of course, a first-party exclusive. While Xbox fans will have to make the jump in order to play this latest chapter in the series, then, it’s worth noting that Miles Morales is also scheduled to arrive next month on PS4 (albeit without all the bells and whistles of the former version), meaning you needn’t fork over $499 for a new console just to experience the standalone story.
Whatever avenue you choose, though, story and gameplay will remain the same and, thanks to several new teasers released just a few hours ago, Spidey’s followers have gotten their best look yet, at some unlockable outfits Parker’s protégé will have access to during the course of the campaign. Peter Parker is a man of many faces, and not just across different mediums.
In the case of Insomniac’s Spider-Man alone, in fact, he now has two wildly different visages and some fans aren’t convinced that his newly redesigned mug in the upcoming PlayStation 5 remaster is any better than the original. According to the game’s developer, of course, the decision isn’t a result of model John Bubniak’s face not being pretty enough but rather, that its structure isn’t the right match for Yuri Lowenthal’s vocal cords. What it is, exactly, that’s changed between both versions that necessitates such a drastic alteration is still a hazy topic, but it largely matters not, as Ben Jordan’s Parker is now here to stay.
The controversy has, however, prompted Instagram user and artist Samuel Cheve to create their own interpretation of the character for the remaster,...

In case you hadn’t heard, Sony and Insomniac Games revealed a first look at Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered yesterday via a new trailer, and while what was shown was certainly pretty, the lion’s share of attention since its release has been squarely on Peter Parker’s new look. As a result of the developer’s desire to cast a face model whose appearance better suited voice actor Yuri Lowenthal’s performance, Insomniac made the unprecedented decision to replace John Bubinak – as seen in the original PS4 version – with Ben Jordan.
Without delay, fans have been sharing their own thoughts on the controversial change online, with many pointing out similarities between Jordan’s fresher-faced Parker and that of Tom Holland, who currently plays Marvel’s beloved superhero on the big screen. Whether you believe that outcome is better or worse lies firmly in the realm of subjectivity, of course,...

If you intend to revisit Marvel’s Spider-Man when the remaster arrives on the PS5 later this year, you could be in for a shock.
Yesterday, Insomniac Games released the first trailer for its upgrade of the original 2018 title, revealing, in turn, a brand new face for Peter Parker. While improved visual fidelity for graphical assets like skin, eyes and teeth have been deployed across the board for every single character in the touch-up, Parker, in particular, has undergone complete facial reconstruction surgery. John Bubinak, who served as the face model for Peter in the PS4 version, has been replaced with Ben Jordan, who looks remarkably similar to live-action Spider-Man actor Tom Holland.
The change isn’t subtle, then, and fans, clearly taken aback by the swap, have shared their mixed reactions on social media, many of which take issue with the character looking considerably more youthful than before. In...

Developer Insomniac Games has recast Peter Parker’s face model in Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered in an attempt to better utilize the visual upgrades offered by the PS5 and to set the series up for its future on the next-gen console. When Peter Parker appears on the PS5, it’ll be with the face of Ben Jordan and not John Bubniak.
As you might expect, the fan reaction to this change has been…interesting so far. In fact, the first thing that most people pointed out is that Peter Parker’s new face actor bears more than a passing resemblance to current big-screen Spider-Man actor, Tom Holland.

Sony’s not doing itself any favors with the handling of Spider-Man‘s upcoming PlayStation 5 remaster.
As confirmed earlier this month, Insomniac’s acclaimed 2018 title, a PS4 exclusive, is headed to next-gen later this year with a raft of visual and technical improvements intended to take advantage of the superior hardware housed within the PS5. A welcome announcement, of course, but seemingly forgetting the backlash Activision received in 2016 for its bungled Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered launch (initially only available as a bundle with Infinite Warfare), Sony has essentially made the exact same mistake.
Only by purchasing the Ultimate Edition of Spider-Man: Miles Morales – which is $20 more expensive than the standard version – will Spidey fans be able to get their hands on Peter Parker’s original adventure and it’s now been confirmed that the premium will be required regardless of whether you own the PS4 version or not.

Somewhat buggy and derivative of other games in the genre it may be, but High Moon Studios’ Deadpool has established something of a cult following since it released back in 2013. Preceding the film franchise that would ultimately elevate the foul-mouthed anti-hero to new heights of popularity in 2016, this take on the character, much like Ryan Reynolds’ acclaimed portrayal, leaned into Deadpool’s unconventional behavior and offbeat humor and was brought to life by prolific voice actor Nolan North.
In a recent interview with ComicBookMovie.com, in fact, North recalled that Reynolds, as a fan of his, took some inspiration from the former’s performance for his own version of Wade Wilson, a role overlap that would eventually lead to the pair becoming acquainted. Reynolds, of course, is scheduled to make his return as Wilson’s alter ego in a future third film and North, it seems, would love nothing more than to reprise the part,...

Spider-Man fans intending to pick up Insomniac’s gorgeous-looking sequel with their PlayStation 5 later this year won’t just have an all-new adventure starring Miles Morales to enjoy. As confirmed recently, $80 Ultimate Editions of the sequel will come bundled with a remastered version of the original PS4 game as standard, though if you were hoping to pick up exactly where you left off when the pair arrive in November, the developer has confirmed, no doubt to the disappointment of many, that doing so won’t be possible.
In other words, any save data – for example, a file with 100% completion and everything unlocked – you may have from the original will be staying on the console where it was created, meaning the upcoming remaster of Peter Parker’s initial adventure will need to be started anew regardless.
