Before 2023 concluded, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made it known that they plan to take on new projects that don’t involve talking about the royal family and see 2024 as their “year of redemption.”
The news that they want to turn over a new leaf comes after quite a few public disasters and setbacks the previous year including Spotify canceling Meghan’s podcast and ending its partnership with the pair, an executive for the streaming company then labeling them “f****** grifters,” and being ridiculed on comedy shows such as South Park and Family Guy.
There’s been plenty of speculation about what the couple will do now though since the majority of their success after stepping down as working royals has come from talking about the royals. Some think Meghan may go back to acting as that’s something she did before she even met Harry. But now a royal...

RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars has had its fair share of queens try to snatch the crown and the title of "America's Next Drag Superstar." RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars is the battle of seasoned queens for that coveted spot in the Drag Race Hall of Fame.
When RuPaul's Drag Race queens return, they look for different things.
Some want the prize money, some like the notoriety of winning, and others want a chance at redemption. Their legacy can make or break on their return to the main stage.
Over 62 queens have returned to All Stars, but there's still a vast list of queens yet to be invited.
Between the mainline series and the many international editions, plenty of queens could get the call to compete for another shot at the crown. And we're not just talking about the "Vs. The World" competitions either.
Below, we've scoured through the cast...

Less than a decade ago, Johnny Depp was on top of the world as the highest-paid star in Hollywood and a genuine box office draw. Pirates of the Caribbean sequels Dead Man’s Chest and On Stranger Tides, along with Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland, gave him the unique distinction of being the only actor in history to have taken top billing in three movies that made over a billion dollars, a feat that’s only been bettered by Robert Downey Jr. thanks to his leading roles in the four Avengers blockbusters and Iron Man 3.
Things are looking markedly different for Depp these days, though, and having been dropped from his career-defining role as Jack Sparrow two years ago, the 57 year-old was also turfed out of Warner Bros.’ Fantastic Beasts after being asked to resign from playing Grindelwald following the outcome of his libel trial against a British tabloid.

There was a lot on the line in Johnny Depp‘s failed libel case against News Group Newspapers. Most immediate are the hefty legal fees that he’s now liable for, but the really expensive consequences look to be coming with the severe repetitional damage he’s suffered.
A British judge ruling that it’s not libellous to call Depp a “wife beater” and finding Amber Heard’s testimony of abuse credible is disastrous for him, especially as it arrives just days after detailed accounts of his chaotic drug-fuelled lifestyle. Of course, the first big consequence of his loss was Warner Bros. dropping him from Fantastic Beasts 3. But Hollywood insiders say that they think this will merely be the first in a long list of roles that Depp will now miss out on.

The past month or so has been a pretty wild ride for Game of Thrones fans. True, the eighth and final season got off to a bit of a slow start – with tons of character development and some dragon riding thrown in for good measure – but the action and intensity ramped up considerably during the third episode, as the Night King and his army of White Walkers and wights stormed Winterfell, resulting in an epic battle that lasted well over 80 minutes.
After plenty of shocking deaths, things then calmed down a little during last week’s episode, as the survivors in the North dealt with the aftermath of the fight and took a bit of a breather. Still, while “The Last of the Starks” was more carefully paced, there was one rather peculiar goof that’s got everyone talking. Shortly after the episode aired, folks noticed that a Starbucks coffee...

Chris here, filling in for Nathaniel's weekly recap of RuPaul's Drag Race. This week was everyone's perennial favorite: Snatch Game! Past seasons have made this celebrity impersonation challenge a complete game changer, catapulting contenders like Jinkx Monsoon and Chad Michaels straight to the finals. In fact, only one Snatch Game winner has ever placed less than fifth place: season three's Stacy Layne Matthews (performing as Mo'Nique via her Oscar-winning Precious performance).
You could easily argue that this challenge is more anticipated than the season finale's crowning, and after last season's unmemorable edition, fans were hungry for this year's queens to bring the laughs.
S8.05 "Supermodel Snatch Game"
And it brings me no joy to tell you that the episode was an unfortunate dud.

RuPaul crowned Raja America’s Next Drag Superstar one week ago, and last night found Ru bringing the season’s 13 queens back together for the requisite reunion. “Tonight on RuPaul’s Drag Race: Reunited!” our palatable host thundered at the beginning of the episode, “our 13 drag warriors return to battle it out, set the record straight, and let each other have it.” Or to get more to the point, Ru added: “The Drag Race may be over, but the real drama is just getting started.” It was an often funny, not-too-heated hour that found the queens bringing some realness...

America’s Next Drag Superstar Raja was crowned in last night’s season finale. And while we didn’t get to hear much from her afterward — “The cash is mine, and I am America’s Next Drag Superstar!” was her post-crowning quip — Raja just spoke with EW in a quick interview in which she addresses everything from how she’s feeling at this moment and her philosophy of drag to what she really thinks of Shangela and where she thinks she’ll be in 10 years. The most poignant moment of the phone call? Probably when Raja copped to being frustrated...

Two weeks ago, after the last original competition episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race that pared the queens down to a final three — that’d be last night’s competing trio: Raja, Manila Luzon, and Alexis Mateo — two polls were posted here on EW.com: One asked who should win, while the other asked who will win. So let’s talk some real, scientific data. Late yesterday, the poll results were as follows in the should win category: 44 percent said Raja, 29 percent said Manila, and 27 percent said Alexis. The will win category was a bit (although not much) different: 69 percent...

Although last week’s RuPaul’s Drag Race pared the field of queens down to the final three, tonight’s edition of the reality extravaganza won’t crown America’s Next Drag Superstar. No, we’re in that fun-fun filler week, where the show pumps out a retrospective episode that fondly looks back over the season. It’s called “RuPaul Rewind,” and EW has an exclusive preview of the opening to the episode, which — yes, yes, yes! — features RuPaul in a Burlesque homage that finds our mother-queen hilariously saying “Wagon Wheel Watusi” in the style of Cher and also stars Chaz Bono!

Just about two and a half months ago, 13 drag queens began the Race to become America’s Next Drag Superstar. And over 11 episodes, we watched as the bewigged ranks lost all of the exciting big girls from this season and, last week, were pared down to just four glamorous contestants: Puerto Rican wacko Yara Sofia; the curvy (and also Puerto Rican) Alexis Mateo; the sassy Filipino Manila Luzon; and the ever-exotic Raja. Last night, we watched as — Spoiler Alert — Yara Sofia bit the dust (remember, she was saved before!), revealing a finale-competing trio of Alexis, Manila, and Raja. (See: the...

At the end of last week’s episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race, Ru announced that she was giving the judges a chance to bring back queens that they felt had been axed too soon, so I ran a poll in my post about the episode, asking: “Which queen should return to RuPaul’s Drag Race next week?”
When I last checked the results, Shangela (33 percent), Delta Work (26 percent), and Mariah (12 percent) were leading the way. And somehow, Carmen wasn’t a option in the poll (sorry, maybe that was a subliminal mistake that adds up to who I didn’t want to see back?...

The constant bitchiness of drag queens never ceases to amaze me. It was but a few minutes into last night’s episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race that found the increasingly nasty Manila Luzon sniping about last week’s sashayer Carmen Carrera: “In the workroom today, there’s a huge, huge void,” Manila started, sounding like she was going to lament Carmen’s exit. But then she brought it home: “That used to be taken up by Carmen’s giant a–.” Zing! Yes, and we’re off at the Race.

As a contestant on a reality competition show, there quite possibly might come a point where you survey your competitors, look at how far you still have to go, and just say: “Screw it. I’m not trying anymore.” As evidenced by last night’s episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race, that very much seemed to be what happened with one-time favorite Carmen Carrera, who found it difficult to muster much of an effort with any of the challenges that were laid on in front of her. Let’s look at the tale of the tape that led to Carmen’s eventual dismissal.

Week ago, I was obsessed with Raja. Then I fell for Stacy Layne. Last week, I was reals into Shangela! And now, after last night’s delightful, patriotic-themed episode, I found myself falling for the charming Alexis Mateo, who I previously hadn’t been that into so far this season. After loving on all these different gals over the past few weeks, I feel like a Drag Race slut.

On tonight’s episode of reality delight RuPaul’s Drag Race, the queens will be supporting the troops during the main challenge by each filming a PSA. EW has obtained an exclusive video previewing the PSAs, which as you might guess are rather hilarious. “This is the only land,” screeches Alexis Mateo, “where you can grow up and become whatever you want to be!” Raja adds: “America: Where the son of immigrants can wear her freedom…proudly.” And the always-nutty Yara Sofia weighs in at one point with a twist on RuPaul’s classic episode-ending line: “If you don’t love America,...

This week on RuPaul’s Drag Race, the ladies tested out their best celebrity impersonations — with mixed results. As judge Michelle Visage pointed out to Delta Work, if you’re going to do Cher, “bitch, you better deliver Cher!” Below, a photographic recap of the action:
Shangela is not feeling Manila's brand of Asian-stereotype humor. "They're making this a race thing!" Manila huffs. Well, grrrrl, it kind of is, isn't it?

Last year on RuPaul’s Drag Race, one of the best episodes of the season was when Ru introduced The Snatch Game, a riff on the ’70s and ’80s staple The Match Game. You fans likely remember, but the episode very memorably saw queens like EW fave Pandora Boxx imitate Carol Channing and Tatianna take on Britney Spears. Last night was this year’s edition, and we saw Shangela take on Tina Turner, Delta Work do Cher (kinda poorly), Manila Luzon put on her best Imelda Marcos, Raja channel her inner Tyra Banks, and so on.

Silence! It’s time to recap the action on last night’s RuPaul’s Drag Race!
This week, the queens were asked to divvie up into two teams and produce competing morning news programs. India Ferrah immediately put herself on the express elevator to the bottom two after team leader Carmen assigned her the role of meteorologist. ”What kind of weather girl?” India asked pitifully, exhibiting none of the resourcefulness or outrageousness required of a drag superstar. You’d think India might’ve slapped out of it after Ru gave an incredulous response – ”This is you being ghetto?” — to her workshopped character,...

So, Raja might not have won last night’s newscasting challenge on RuPaul’s Drag Race — that honor went to the pineapple-perfect and politically incorrect Manila Luzon — but the episode, which saw the statuesque queen don three amazing looks, certainly raised this question: Does Raja already have the title of America’s Next Drag Superstar on lock for this season? The realness of this quandary lingered in my mind as I watched last night’s episode — I literally couldn’t stop thinking that thought, which is why I’m blogging about it in the wee hours of the morning and bringing the question to you,...

“You can’t be lifting up drag queens!” Those seven words from horrified onlooker Manila Luzon pretty much summed up the “Lipsych for Your Life” shenanigans that went down between Mimi Imfurst and India Ferrah on this week’s episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race. Indeed, Mimi’s shocking decision to forcibly hoist a stunned India over her shoulders — midway through performing Thelma Houston’s “Don’t Leave Me This Way,” no less — provided a violent but entertaining shock paddle to an otherwise flat episode.

Things are getting real heavy on RuPaul’s Drag Race this season. And that’s mostly because, so far, the show has mostly focused on its three delightful big-girl contestants: Mimi Imfurst, Delta Work, and Stacy Layne Matthews. Not that I’m complaining—at all. That’s certainly been a very good thing. And while the headline to this mini recap of last night’s episode might lead you to believe that a big girl won the competition, those of you who watched know that’s certainly not the case. In fact, not only did a big girl not win the competition,...

It was a foregone conclusion that RuPaul would eventually bring back a sashayed, old queen from a past season to be a contestant again on RuPaul’s Drag Race. In the reality competition world, that move is nearly older than RuPaul herself. But the gal that was chosen for this extremely illustrious distinction was completely out of left field: It was none other than last season’s polarizing first-episode cast-off, the delightfully named Shangela! “And it’s Shangela!” said fellow contestant Mariah, in reaction. “Halle-lou!” she added, referencing Shangela’s “famous” sound bite. Halle-lou, indeed!
