She might be turning 66 next month, but Academy Award winner Susan Sarandon shows no signs of slowing down. This year alone, the actress has already seen four of her films open theatrically (the Duplass Brothers' "Jeff Who Lives at Home," the Sundance indies "Arbitrage" and "Robot & Frank," and the Adam Sandler summer comedy "That's My Boy"). And she still has Tom Tykwer and the Wachowski siblings independently financed epic "Cloud Atlas" set to open by year's end, and two more in early 2013 -- Robert Redford's conspiracy thriller "The Company You Keep," and the all-star comedy "The Big Wedding." On top of her acting duties, Sarandon has been making headlines of late for something totally unrelated to her day job: ping-pong. Along with co-owners Frack Raharinosy, Andrew Gordon and Jonathan Bricklin, Sarandon is behind SPiN Galactic, a subterranean ping-pong social club that has...

Susan Sarandon has something she'd like to tell the good people of Los Angeles. The ping pong-obsessed actress is bringing her nightclub-cum-sports venue to their town.
Sarandon and her partners at SPiN, the company behind swanky table tennis/bar hybrids in New York, Milwaukee and Toronto, have teamed up with hotelier Andre Balazs for an expansive new location, right in the heart of L.A.'s downtown.
The space will occupy the entire mezzanine floor of Balazs' Standard Downtown and be open all seven days of the week, providing both daytime availability for serious and casual ping pong players and a vibrant evening and night party scene. SPiN L.A. at the Standard, Downtown L.A. will launch early this fall.
"This is really hands-free, worry-free," Sarandon told HuffPost Entertainment in an interview. "Andre really knows what he's doing, so I have complete trust in his ability to make this...

Toy Story 3 Quick Thoughts:
I feel as if I have now seen Toy Story 3 the way it was meant to be seen... in 2D. The fact these films are released in theaters in 3D with a massive marketing blitz and then delivered to Blu-ray and DVD with absolutely no mention of 3D is proof positive no film needs or benefits from 3D. Is anyone going to argue Toy Story 3 is less of a film in 2D? Based on the marketing of the theatrical release one would expect the studio to feel that way, but good luck getting them to trash the cash cow that is the DVD and Blu-ray release of one of 2010's biggest films. Best of all, this film doesn't need gimmicks to prove it's great, because it's just that... great.
I'm not going to go too in-depth on the film itself because I think...

The "Big Brother 12" premiere is almost here, hamster fans! So Zap2it is putting on our prognosticating hat and make some good old-fashioned predictions based on our meet-and-greet with contestants. We did pretty well for "Dancing With the Stars," so maybe we can be Carnac the Great for "Big Brother" too.
Contestant: Monet Stunson
Odds: 14 to 1
Monet seems young, quiet and shy, like she won't be up for having any fun in the house and will also seem to lack personality. We think she'll have a hard time standing out and making quick friends -- without an alliance, she's toast.
Contestant: Kathy Hillis
Odds: 13 to 1
Kathy seems like a sweet lady but she is the oldest person in the house and her accent is a tad grating. We can see her not fitting in (especially since if Andrew lies like he says he's going to and pretends to be 34) and getting an early boot.

The "Big Brother 12" premiere is right around the corner, so Zap2it thought we should take a minute to discuss what is really important for everyone's favorite summertime guilty pleasure -- showmances.
"Big Brother" is arguably the best breeding ground for showmances. And we don't mean actual romances, either -- we mean stuck-in-a-house-what-else-is-there-to-do-we're-both-pretty-let's-hook-up showmances. Dr. Will Kirby had a couple memorable flirtations, his cohort Mike "Boogie" Malin infamously used one showmance and (ridiculously) proposed to another. It seems like every summer there is at least one couple getting snuggly in the "Bb" house.
So which "Big Brother 12" house guests are ripe for the showmancing this summer?
Based on our pre-show interviews with the contestants, Zap2it can tell you that Matt Hoffman is married, Britney Haynes is engaged and Annie Whittington is dating someone. Just so we were clear, they also assured us they would not be participating in any showmances this season.

Meet Andrew Gordon, a new "Big Brother 12" contestant who is unabashed in his strategy -- lying. He's going to lie about many, many things.
"On the show, I'm not telling them I'm a podiatrist ... You don't want to get the target right from day one. Hi, I'm a podiatrist. I got money ... I'll be lying about that as well as other things, my age and everything like that ... 34 is what I'm saying."
What do you think, gang? Think 39-year-old Andrew can pass for 34?
When asked about his strategy, Andrew says, "Everybody has what they think is a pre-set strategy. You hope to go in, you hope to stick with it ... but the thing is, you're going to change based on what you're dealing with."
But when he really has to be honest, Andrew says, "My strategy is going to be lying, as you can tell. And you need an alliance,...
