DC’s Legends of Tomorrow has made an appointment with Dr. Strangelove, casting Body of Proof alum Nic Bishop in an homage to the dark 1964 feature comedy.
TVLine has learned exclusively that the English actor is set to guest-star on the CW series in a Season 6 riff on Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb, Stanley Kubrick’s acclaimed satirization of the Cold War between the Soviet Union and the United States.

There's a new face in the spy game of "Covert Affairs" Season 5. Nic Bishop ("Body of Proof") has been cast as Ryan McQuaid, a new regular character coming with the return of the show in the summer of 2014.
McQuaid is described as a "handsome, magnetic and charming" man who first meets Annie Walker (Piper Perabo) out in the field. This former Navy Seal and current private contractor (who happens to be worth billions) is at first an uneasy ally for CIA operative Annie. But she soon begins to suspect that McQuaid has a secret agenda.
The 16 episodes of "Covert Affairs" Season 5 will pick up after Annie's return to the CIA fold. Her time deep undercover trying to take down Henry Wilcox has left its mark on the wild-card agent, and Annie will have to pay the price as she tries to return to her old life in the new season.

Even with a midseason return and a shorter run this time, Dana Delany is happy her latest series still has life.
It actually can be considered a new life, since the ABC medical mystery "Body of Proof" will reflect significant changes as its third season starts Tuesday, Feb. 19. Delany's Dr. Megan Hunt will be without several colleagues who were present from the show's start: Peter Dunlop (Nicholas Bishop), her investigator, who was stabbed by an enemy of Megan's in the Season 2 finale, and homicide detectives Bud Morris and Samantha Baker (John Carroll Lynch, Sonja Sohn).
Police work will remain a factor in "Body of Proof," though ... a bigger factor, in fact, given the main cast addition. Mark Valley ("Human Target," "Boston Legal") worked previously with Delany on the short-lived Fox serial "Pasadena," and their reunion makes him Tommy Sullivan, an investigator with whom Megan has a personal past -- a...

Actress Sarah Jane Morris played Julia Walker on Brothers & Sisters once upon a time, but her story continues as she signs on for a guest spot on ABC’s Body of Proof.
Body of Proof follows Dana Delany as medical examiner Dr. Megan Hunt, who was once a star neurosurgeon until a car accident ended her career. Season three kicks off in February of 2013 and in that season’s 12th episode, Sarah Jane Morris will appear as a flight attendant. TV Line reported that her character’s name is Pamela Jacks and she’ll become key in the aftermath of an “airline tragedy”. I wonder if this episode was at all inspired by the recent Denzel Washington film, Flight.
In season three, adds dashing former Human Target actor, Mark Valley will join the cast, so makr your calendar for Tuesday, Feb. 5 at 10/9c. It will take the place of Private Practice...

Mark Valley is in talks to join ABC's Body of Proof. The Human Target star would play Det. Tommy Sullivan, a new series regular, TVLine reports. Sullivan is a former love interest of series lead Dr. Megan Hunt (Dana Delany) and will enjoy a fractious relationship with her as they team up to solve cases. Body of Proof was picked up for a third season in May, but stars John Carroll Lynch (Det. Bud Morris), Nicholas Bishop (Peter Dunlop) and Sonja Sohn (Det. Samantha Baker) were later dropped (more)...

"Body of Proof" fans successfully campaigned for ABC to renew the show for Season 3 -- but when it returns as a mid-season replacement at some point during the 2012-2013 television season, it's going to be a very different show.
As previously reported, three of the "Body of Proof" lead actors have been ousted. John Carroll Lynch, Nicholas Bishop and Sonja Sohn will not be returning for the third season, meaning that the majority of the detective power we're familiar with will be M.I.A. from the Philadelphia Homicide Division.
Of course, Bud Morris, Peter Dunlop, and Samantha Baker will be replaced. "Body of Proof" bosses are casting two new series regulars for Season 3. The first is Detective Tommy Sullivan, a former NYPD detective who has a romantic history with Megan (Dana Delaney) -- twenty years ago, they broke up after she caught him cheating on her. Now he's back in her life,...

Updated: In May 2003, ABC gave then-bubble drama series The Practice a last-minute renewal at a significantly reduced license fee. Shortly thereafter, the show let go seven of its 11 regular cast members, including star Dylan McDermott and female leads Lara Flynn Boyle and Kelli Williams. Nine years later, the last-minute renewal of another bubble ABC procedural, Body Of Proof too has led to multiple cast departures. It is not the bloodbath of The Practice proportions as star Dana Delany is staying put, but three of the show’s seven regular cast members were not picked up for next season: Nicholas Bishop, who played Medicolegal Investigator Peter Dunlop, sidekick to Delany’s medical examiner Megan Hunt last seen clinging to life in the finale’s cliffhanger, and John Carroll Lynch and Sonja Sohn, who played the show’s police detectives. News is not that bad for Lynch, who did a pilot in...

Big changes are afoot at ABC's "Body of Proof" for Season 3.
TVLine was the first to report thatJohn Carroll Lynch is leaving the ABC medical drama to join "Do No Harm."
Lynch, who played homicide detective Bud Morris in the first two seasons of "Body of Proof," guest starred in the pilot for the NBC crime drama. In "Do No Harm," he had a brief scene as the Na sponsor of protagonist Dr. Jason Cole -- and his alter ego Ian Price -- played by "Rescue Me's" Steven Pasquale.
But Lynch is not the only one moving on from "Body of Proof." According to The Hollywood Reporter, Nicholas Bishop, who played medico-legal investigator Peter Dunlop on the series' first two season, is also leaving "Body of Proof" behind.
TVLine later reported that Sonja Sohn also won’t be returning for "Body of Proof" Season 3. Sohn, who has also been...

Turns out John Carroll Lynch’s dismissal from Body of Proof was just the tip of the iceberg.
TVLine has learned that Lynch’s costars, Nicholas Bishop and Sonja Sohn, also won’t be returning for the ABC procedural’s upcoming third season.
Bishop co-starred as medico-legal detective Peter Dunlop, while Sohn played homicide investigator Sam Baker (and partner to Lynch’s Bud Morris.)
All three actors had been with the show since the pilot.
News of Bishop’s departure was first reported by The Hollywood Reporter.

ABC's Body of Proof will return for a shortened third season without two of its regular stars. Series regulars John Carroll Lynch and Nicholas Bishop, who have been with the show since it launched in 2011, have completed their time with the Dana Delany medical drama, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed, with the options on both actors not picked up for Season 3. Body of Proof has plenty of potential, thanks to a cast of entertaining and likable characters. But they too often appear to be wandering in circles in the hopes of finding a destination.
The concept of a top surgeon, who can no longer cut it and deciding to speak for the dead, isn't an original concept. Honestly, there isn't much new here, although some of the stories are more unique than others. (See death by baby snake bite). But procedural elements won't engage an audience nearly as strongly as great characters. Body of Proof has them, but as outlined in this midseason report card, they aren't being utilized to their full potential.
Dr. Megan Hunt: Dana Delany is the star that draws in the audience and holds this drama together. She's the reason I tuned in and didn't simply write this show off as one more crime procedural among the masses.

This Tuesday on Body of Proof (ABC, 10/9c), Chrishell Stause – who on All My Children dealt with all kinds of drama, including a cancer scare – must face a possible murder rap, guest-starring as a party planner who’s got a secret or two. TVLine invited the actress to preview her visit to the ABC procedural as well as weigh in on AMC‘s needlessly odd (in retrospect) series finale.

ABC’s Body of Proof launches its second season tonight at 10/9c, and unlike some sophomore shows that undergo a bit of tinkering, series lead Dana Delany says that outside of “hookier” cold opens to better hold onto the big Dancing With the Stars audience, this was a circumstance “where everything kind of worked, in a weird way,” so no wholesale changes were made.
Still, the eagle-eyed will spy some welcome tweaks.
