Tyra Banks and her newly named co-host, Alfonso Ribeiro, have entered the world of Disney in the latest promo for “Dancing With the Stars”.
In the teaser, shared to Instagram Monday, Banks and Ribeiro, who are co-hosting season 31 of the long-running series marvel at the show’s new landscape now that the dance competition series has made the move to streaming, going from ABC to Disney+.
“Uh, Tyra, I don’t think we’re in L.A. anymore,” a bewildered Ribeiro tells Banks — both of whom are dressed in their “DWTS” finest. “No, this is a completely different ballroom,” the supermodel-turned-tv-host responds.
With a little Disney magic sprinkled in by none other than Tinkerbell herself, the promo then pans to a montage of the show’s professional dancers, all ready to hit the ballroom floor and compete for the coveted mirrorball trophy.

Val Chmerkovskiy may not be hanging up his “Dancing with the Stars” shoes yet. Though the two-time champ said in the fall that Season 30 was “probably” his last one, you might just see him when Season 31 launches on Disney+ later this year, according to his wife and fellow pro Jenna Johnson.
“So, the funny thing is we actually don’t know if we’re coming back until right before the season [starts]. But yes, I know that Val is definitely excited to come back for another season and I think that he’s in the best shape of his life right now. I’m not sure what happened to him [this year], but he is snatched,” Johnson told Us Weekly. “I think he’s really excited for this next season.”
Chmerkovskiy, who won Mirrorball trophies with Rumer Willis and Laurie Hernandez, hinted at his departure following his and partner Olivia Jade‘s elimination in November.

“Dancing with the Stars” pros Val Chmerkovskiy and Jenna Johnson will tie the knot later this year, and you can bet some of their old partners will be at their big day. And they’re pretty obvious ones.
Johnson already shared last year that Adam Rippon, with whom she won the “Athletes” season, will be a bridesman in her bridal party. But now she’s revealed to “Entertainment Tonight” (watch below) that Joe “Grocery Store Joe” Amabile will be also a guest, with his “Bachelor in Paradise” girlfriend Kendall Long as his plus one.
As you probably recall (but might want to forget), Johnson and Grocery Store Joe made it all the way to the semifinals last season despite his two left feet and abysmal scores. The two have remained friends since the season ended in November. Johnson’s only other “Dancing” partner was Jake T. Austin in Season 23; they were the first couple eliminated.

“Dancing with the Stars: Juniors” has found its judges — and they’re all very familiar faces to “Dancing” fans.
Two-time “Dancing” champ Val Chmerkovskiy, Emmy-winning choreographer Mandy Moore (not that Mandy Moore) and reigning “Dancing with the Stars: Athletes” champ Adam Rippon will dole out scores on the kid version of the long-running show. The reveal was made on Monday’s “Good Morning America.”
Chmerkovskiy won Seasons 20 and 23 with Rumer Willis and Laurie Hernandez, respectively. He sat out the “Athletes” season — the first installment he’s missed since joining the show in Season 13 — but his new fiancee Jenna Johnson won with Rippon. (“I believe Adam will be a bridesman. Is that what it’s called?” Chmerkovskiy quipped on “Gma.”) Chmerkovskiy is a solid choice for the show, which will be pre-taped. The spin-off won’t be hosted by Tom Bergeron or Erin Andrews, so a veteran like Chmerkovskiy is a...

“Dancing with the Stars: Juniors” will begin its run on ABC on Sunday, October 7 with a two-hour premiere beginning at 8 p.m. in the east and west and 7 p.m. in the central and mountain time zones. While this version of “DWTS” will run for a full 10 weeks, as opposed the mere four we got with the athletes edition in the spring, the episodes will only be an hour long and will be pre-taped.

Dancing with the Stars: Juniors has found its three judges!
The good thing for fans of Dancing with the Stars, these new judges are no stranger to the ABC juggernaut.
Olympic figure skater Adam Rippon, Dancing with the Stars pro Val Chmerkovskiy and choreographer, Mandy Moore will be the judges on the spin-off of the main series.
The news was revealed on Monday's Good Morning America.
Rippon appeared on Dancing with the Stars: Athletes earlier this year, and towered above the competition with pro, Jenna Johnson.
Related: ABC Fall Schedule: Can Nathan Fillion Solve ABC's Tuesday Problem?
It was a concentrated season, but Adam was the early favorite because his dancing was solid from the get-go, and he improved week-to-week, which is what viewers look for.
As for Chmerkovskiy, he has appeared as a pro on 13 seasons of Dancing with the Stars and is a favorite with viewers.
