Raid the cage? How about break the cage! It’s a colossal clash of former professional football players, including Ephraim Salaam of the Atlanta Falcons and Houston Texans, and their equally competitive wives in Episode 5 of Raid the Cage airing Friday, November 10 on CBS. And in the TV Insider exclusive clip above, Rod Gardner proves he can’t be contained by the cage. A trip to Las Vegas is on the line as the former Kansas City Chiefs player loots the pool of prizes. His wife, Leticia Gardner, watches from the balcony and cheers him on after having competed in the trivia portion of the game. Gardner’s dragging a wheeled box out in a panic when the cage’s red lights come on, indicating three remaining seconds on the clock. And while he escapes with one arm full of goodies, the box breaks a huge hole into the glass...

Writer-producer Matt Nix, writer-producer Aaron Rahsaan Thomas, and writer Ephraim Salaam and others are gathering this evening at WME for Brady United Against Gun Violence’s Show Gun Safety Summit.
The event will focus on how content creators can “model gun safety on screen to positively change attitudes and behaviors about guns, helping save lives,” the organization said.
It’s part of an increased effort by Brady United to the entertainment community via a culture and gun safety initiative. Their Show Gun Safety campaign has included a meeting of entertainment figures at the White House last spring, a partnership with USC’s Norman Lear Center’s Hollywood, Health and Society and a list of best practices.
Jessica Yellin will moderate the panel, with attendees also including Brady President Kris Brown and WME’s Dani Potter.

The Amazing Race started out as a Summer show when it aired in 2001 on CBS. After the show gained popularity, it was moved to the fall schedule and now features two cycles each television season. There have been many familiar faces that have participated on the reality show including Big Brother alumni Brendon and Rachel and former NFL players Chester Pitts and Ephraim Salaam. Have you ever thought how awesome it would be if your favorite TV couples, friends, or family members participated on the race? Here is our list of what TV Show duos would be perfect for the next cycle of The Amazing Race. The Reality Show Team – Hayden and Nicole from Big Brother 16 Over the course of The Amazing Race’s run, a team featured on a reality show will usually make an appearance. The Amazing Race, Season 23, Episode 3: “King Arthur Style”
Aired Sundays at 8pm (Et) on CBS
From winning last leg, Chester and Ephraim depart first from Chile, and find out they have to go to Portugal. This is a challenge for them, though, because usually they have “people” to book everything and line it up for them, and now they must find a flight themselves–an awful reminder for us that these people are already millionaires.
We get some characterizing time. The Afghanimals are excited because Jamal can use his Portuguese; also because they’re always excited. Nicole does the obnoxious exposition parrot routine she so enjoys: “We are Husband And Wife… Physicians.” It’s nails on a chalkboard.
The flight becomes a complicated mission because some people go straight to the airport, while some go to a travel agent. The Afghanimals choose airport and do Australian accents, which I...

The Amazing Race rolled on last week to Lisbon, Portugal, with nine teams still in the competition. The first team to arrive at the Pit Stop was Nicole and Travis, followed by Jason and Amy in second place. Nicky and Kim were the third team to arrive.
In what can only be described as an epic amount of bad luck, Chester and Ephraim were actually met at the Lisbon airport by host Phil Keoghan. This was a bad sign, and they were eliminated from The Amazing Race. Chester and Ephraim's journey was something out of many a traveler's worst nightmare.
Who will take the lead in this leg of The Amazing Race? Let's find out!

It's really, really unlikely, but I'm still holding out hope that this Sunday night's "Amazing Race" will begin with Phil Keoghan faking out former NFL teammates Ephraim Salaam and Chester Pitts II and telling them that last week's elimination was actually a joke and it was really a Non-Elimination Leg. Chester and Ephraim were my favorite team when I met the squads before the season started and they continued to be my favorites during their three "Amazing Race" Legs. They were funny. They were enthusiastic. And when a Chilean travel agent accidentally booked them on a key flight one day...

Chester and Ephraim went from first place to a more dubious Amazing Race first on Sunday's episode: After a booking mistake by a ticket agent and a string of flight delays set them back nearly 24 hours, the former Houston Texans teammates became the first team to get eliminated in an airport before even having a chance to do the tasks. "It's not the thing we want to be first in!" Chester tells TVGuide.com. "We weren't looking for that trademark. It's never over 'til it's over, but we knew we were in a hole." Find out why the two, who can currently be seen on Texans Insider and Fox Sports Live, respectively, decided to roll the dice with a double connection and why they could've arrived even later in Portugal.

Amazing Race 23 eliminated Chester Pitts & Ephraim Salaam in episode 3 tonight. Tonight's episode, kicked off with the teams, finding out they had to travel to Lisbon, Portugal to get their first clue for this leg of the race. Once they got to Portugal, they had to grab a painting, which gave them their next clue. It directed them to head to a coach museum. Once they got to the museum, they ran into their detours: "Tiles, " or "Miles." In the 'Tiles" detour, the teams had to put together a life size puzzle with fragile pieces to get their next clue. In the "Miles" detour, they had to use giant navigation equipment to figure out how many miles Magellan traveled to get their next clue. After they finished up the detours, they ran into a Road Block. In it, one team member had to fire an arrow and hit a shield 150 feet...

The Amazing Race continued last week with some unusual challenges, such as mining and brining, in Chile. Chester and Ephraim were the first to check in at the Pit Stop because of an error made by Leo and Jamal. Remember to pay your taxi drivers, people! With Leo and Jamal settled in at second place, Brandan and Adam snagged the third place position.
Rowan and Shane were the last team to arrive at the Pit Stop and were eliminated from The Amazing Race.

The Amazing Race, Season 23, Episode 2: “Zip It, Bingo” Aired Sundays at 8pm (Et) on CBS
We pick back up in Iquique, Chile, where Exes Tim and Marie preen in their victory from the last leg and talk about their two express passes, which they plan to hold on to as long as humanly possible, because power. They depart first, but the positions prove to be pointless as they all have to wait overnight for a nearby boat to open. Marie doesn’t give up so easily, however. She instead makes everyone line up their backpacks in a line for the running start in the morning, which everyone totally appreciates.
Shockingly, Marie’s system is instantly obliterated when everyone runs like a pack of rabid wolverines in no discerning order to find the Roadblock. Their task is to find out a famous Spanish line said by a hero in their...

The Amazing Race, Season 23, Episode 1: “We’re Not in Oklahoma No More” Aired Sundays at 8pm (Et) on CBS
Phil Keoghan appears and tells us it is high noon, and that we are in an old western movie ranch. This is merely an excuse for fun music as nothing is really accomplished here, even after a tease that the money has been “stolen.” At least we get treated to two whole seconds of a stunt show style performance, because how else would you start the 23rd season of a reality show? Anyway, after a stumbling beginning, it’s thankfully all business as we meet the contestants. They are:
1. Former NFL Teammates Chester and Ephraim, who, incredibly, went from being bagger and customer to ending up on the same NFL team.
2. Theatre Performers Rowan and Shane, drag queens whose relationship is left predictably unclear.
3. Exes Tim and Marie, who have a hate/hate relationship.

Phil Keoghan promises that he isn't overselling when he describes Season 23 of The Amazing Race as the most competitive yet. "I know people probably think I say this every season, but it's true," he tells TVGuide.com. "This group is just out-of-their-minds competitive. They might be hard to top. It's so much fun, especially when we get back and we know we have good material in the can."

The Amazing Race is back for Season 23 this Sunday, and host Phil Keoghan is opening up to Et about a season he promises will be full of ultra-competitive characters.
ETonline: Can you tell us about the new season and what the fans will be excited about?
Phil Keoghan: The tone is quite different just because we really made a point of selecting people who have crazy competitive spirits and by doing that we've ended up with this really eclectic mix of competitive people, so, you know, when you think of an ER doctor, you would have to assume that they're A-types, that they're incredibly competitive to have got through med school and that they're hardened individuals in terms of their mental toughness. But then if you look at say, Brandon and Adam, one of whom lives off the grid, who have these big beards, they are really almost the antithesis, of say, an...

It’s not often we write articles about award-winning performers here on Dread Central, which makes this all the more exciting for yours truly. This past weekend Deon Taylor (Dead Tone, Chain Letter) invited Dread Central exclusively out to his set in Los Angeles to give us a look at the revamping of his Night Tales (previously Nite Tales) brand of horror.
Previously hosted by everyone’s favorite hip-hop hype man Flavor Flav, the new Night Tales will be hosted by Stacey Dash (Clueless) as a vampiress, demonstrating a new, serious and sexy direction for both the television series as well as the feature film.
In addition to the new direction of Night Tales, Taylor also introduced us to his brand new producing partner, Oscar and Grammy Award winner Jamie Foxx. The collaboration marks Foxx’s first true foray into the horror genre, something that excites the renowned actor greatly.

It’s not often that you get an opportunity to talk extensively with both Bud Bundy and the Candyman all in one day. But that was just one of the treats from this writer’s visit to the set of Dark Christmas, which appropriately lensed last week in Sacramento.
