If you thought supermarkets rushed the holidays on us, they’ve got nothing on Tubi. For the latest Tubi Original, they’ve skipped right past Christmas to give us Dante’s Hotel, a New Year’s Eve-themed horror film that begins on New Year’s Eve 1975 in the Dontene Hotel. A young Daniel Brayer axe in hand, stands over twelve dead bodies including those of his parents.
Twelve years later it happens again and Daniel is there again. Both times however the bodies vanish before they can be taken to the morgue leaving Daniel a free, if very troubled man who has taken up permanent residence in Room 1224.

Jodie Sweetin is not pleased that her latest movie “Craft Me a Romance” will debut on Great American Family (Gaf), the network her former co-star Candace Cameron Bure works for.
After admitting she was “surprised” by the news, Sweetin added, “I am disappointed, but in keeping with my mission of supporting the LGBTQ+ family, any potential or future money made from this sale will be donated to LGBTQ+ organizations.”
Sweetin acknowledged that it can be difficult for actors to know where their work will or will not premiere, especially since that decision isn’t theirs to make. She added, “Sometimes, we, as actors, don’t have control over which network buys the projects we are in, nor are we a part of the process in which they get sold.”

“Full House” alum Jodie Sweetin expressed disappointment to People magazine over her new film, “Craft Me a Romance,” being sold to the Great American Family (Gaf) network, which counts her former co-star Candace Cameron Bure as its chief creative officer. Bure ignited controversy last fall after she told The Wall Street Journal that Gaf would be keeping “traditional marriage at the core” of its output, meaning it would be highly unlikely for Gaf shows and films to include LGBTQ+ couples.
“Sometimes, we, as actors, don’t have control over which network buys the projects we are in, nor are we a part of the process in which they get sold,” Sweetin said in a statement. “So I was very surprised to learn by reading about it in the press yesterday that the independent film I worked on over a year ago was sold to Great American Family.”

1. The Lizzie Bennet Diaries. A runaway success that sparked a veritable wave of web adaptations of romantic novels and stories, this Emmy-winning series is inventive, romantic, and beautifully executed. Ashley Clements and Daniel Vincent Gordh (particularly the former) handled their iconic Lizzie/Darcy roles with aplomb, and the series pulled a particular coup by casting Mary Kate Wiles as Lydia and reshaping her story as that of a party girl who gets hurt and slowly grows up over the course of the series. The interactions between sisters Lizzie, Lydia, and Jane (Laura Spencer), are warm and real and the highlight of the series along with the slowly-built-up Darcy/Lizzie romance.
The main flaw in the series is that it’s too long – the first 50 episodes chronicle every event that happens in the book, and while book purists might call this praiseworthy, this is a web-series not a BBC adaptation, and...

"Emma Approved" is the newest web series sensation to hit our screens. The series, from the Emmy award-winning team behind "The Lizzie Bennet Diaries" and spin-off "Welcome to Sanditon," is a modernization of Jane Austen's "Emma."
Brent Bailey stars in Emma Approved as Alex Knightley, whose job it is to take care of the "important, boring stuff," for our heroine, Emma Woodhouse (Joanna Sotomura). Both actors have been received positively by fans. But Emma Approved was not Bailey's first encounter with this creative team. He auditioned twice for "The Lizzie Bennet Diaries," for the roles of George Wickham and William Darcy. In this exclusive interview, he confesses to being a "hopeless romantic," explains how he took inspiration from Paul Rudd in "Clueless" - and yes, tells us all about those first auditions.
