My DVD collection contains some oddities, to say the least. I have stuff ranging from all of the seasons of Due South to the most complete collection of Snoopy cartoons I can amalgamate given current releases (which is pretty darn shockingly complete, if I may say so myself). So it’s honestly not a surprise to find some strange or obscure movies in there.
I recently ordered a copy of the movie Groupie and watched it over the weekend. I’m going to have to admit that the main reason that I bought the movie is because it’s got Hal Ozsan in it. Since he is one of the actors I currently really dig, it was kind of a no brainer when I realized that it would be released on June 14th and it was relatively inexpensive.
I’m also going to admit that I’m pretty easily entertained.

I've seen the pilot episode for the new CW show The Beautiful Life and I'm digging it. This article will contain some spoilers for the episode, though I try to be vague about the important plot points.
We open at the Zac Posen show during New York Fashion Week (Mr. Posen himself makes a cameo). Posen seems to be going for an 18th century Victorian look here that’s completely over the top, but I admit that high fashion sometimes confuses me. It’s Raina's (Sara Paxton) first runway show and she’s very overwhelmed, until she steps out there and struts her stuff. Backstage at the show we’re introduced to the other main characters, including the somewhat bitchy Marissa (Ashley Madekwe) and the boys: Isaac (Corbin Bleu), Egan (Jordan Woolley) and Cole (Nico Tortorella).
Mischa Barton is back on television as Sonja Stone, a pill-popping model who is...

Turns out Beautiful Life exec producer Ashton Kutcher wasn't being completely honest with us this morning when he said there were "no casting changes" on The CW's new model-centric soap. Shortly after the panel concluded, a tipster sent me the following message via e-mail: "No cast changes? Ha. The guy at the far right in the photo attached to your post will be gone by the end of episode 2." That "guy" is former As the World Turns star Jordan Woolley and, upon further investigation, multiple sources confirm that he will, in fact, be off the show by the end of the second episode. I'm going to give Kutcher the benefit of the doubt and say he probably didn't intentionally lie to us. I'm sure he was so worried about toeing the company line on Mischa Barton that he forgot Woolley had been cut. Or perhaps he never considered him a...
