Welcome to this week’s review of Aew’s latest television show, Collision, which brings wrestling back to Saturday nights! We’ve got the commentary team of Tony Schiavone and Nigel McGuinness calling the action, so let’s get into the review!
Match #1: Claudio Castagnoli, Daniel Garcia & Hiroshi Tanahashi def. Lance Archer & The Righteous (Dutch & Vincent) The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:
“Daddy Magic” Matt Menard joined the broadcast booth for this match. Dutch and Claudio rammed into each other like two bulls. Dutch slammed Claudio with ease. Claudio fired back with a big double stomp to Dutch. Garcia and Vincent tagged in. Garcia kicked Vincent repeatedly in the corner. Garcia dropped Vincent on his back with a suplex. Garcia tagged in Tanahashi. Archer tagged in but ate some forearms from Tanahashi. “The Ace” leveled Archer with a running forearm, but Archer came back with a big cross body.

Some shows get canceled after a few seasons. Some only last for a few weeks. And then, there are those that get yanked from broadcast after a single night’s airing.
In this golden era of television, there are dozens and dozens of critically hailed TV programs to choose from to suit your personal taste. But even when TV’s at it’s best, that doesn’t mean there have been some serious missteps along the way.
Whether the show didn’t land with audiences, or a scandal or tragedy resulted in an unexpected immediate withdrawal from the broadcasting schedule, we’ve rounded up the television shows that got pulled from air after just one episode. While some shows did eventually air the remainder of the episodes in the can, all of these shows were scrapped from the get-go for various reasons.

Welcome to this weeks episode of Aew: Dark, I’m editor Phil and let’s not mess around with extraneous introductory waffle and let’s just jump straight into this!
Match #1: Lance Archer def. Zicky Dice
My Thoughts: Zicky Dice, formerly of Nwa (and a one-time Nwa TV Champion), makes he Aew debut getting completely destroyed by Lance Archer. Like Totally destroyed… Throw in the ring, around the ring, and in the air. Dice never stood a chance.
My Score: 1 out of 5 Match #2: Abadon def. Willow Nightingale
My Thoughts: Between Ricky Starks’ reaction on commentary and Willow’s reaction in ring, this match made Abadon look even more freakish that usual. Willow Nightingale has been doing great work on Aew (and Roh) and it will be interesting to see her career trajectory in a few years time. Meanwhile Abadon… well sh was Abadon – badass and brutal as usual!

Wait a minute…there’s an envelope in here from Seth Rogen, Snoop Dogg and Kevin Nealon, with post-marking subsidised by notable publication High Times. I wonder what’s in this envelo………………………………oh s–t man! There was weed smoke in that f–ker man! Oh s–t! I’m gonna eat a whole pig man! I’m gonna eat Babe man! Oh s–t! Oh s–t! Goin’ to Mars dude! Dynamite! TNT! Boom!

Welcome to this return of The Last Week In Wrestling, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and this simplified version of the column shall encompass all of the major reviews on the site and serve as the exclusive debut of many of the leagues’ different reviews, including the Major League Wrestling, Ring Of Honor, National Wrestling Alliance, Nxt UK and 205 Live, along with my versions of the two Aew: Dark reviews and the debut of New Japan Strong. These promotions will have their matches scored and the best match of the week will be named before we wrap-up with a verdict on the week in wrestling overall. Okay. Let’s kick some ass. Melvin McMelvin: You cannot say such things! Me: Who the f—k are you? McM: I am Melvin McMelvin, attorney for the Internetal Protectorate! I represent the decency of the internet! Welcome to this weeks review of Aew Dark: Elevation, the promotions second YouTube show that aims to showcase new and upcoming talent. We’ve had a good couple of weeks from this show so let’s see how this week fares… Oh sh*t, we’re not off to a good start with another 150 minute show!
Match #1: Jungle Boy def. Adrian Alanis
My Thoughts: Adrian Alanis got to go it alone in his first singles match against Jungle Boy, and wouldn’t you know it this was another of Aew’s quasi-squash matches, with just enough action to give this some length but featuring Jungle Boy pretty much railing on Alanis for the duration. Still I could watch Jungle Boy do this all day…
My Score: 1.5 out of 5 Match #2: Dustin Rhodes def. Aaron Solow

This weeks Elevation was a solid, if average, affair so lets see what Dark has for us… I’m Phil, this is Nerdly, and our Aew: Dark review starts now!
Match #1: Jon Moxley & Eddie Kingston def. Milk Chocolate
My Thoughts: This one was over before it began. Moxely and Kingston got the jump on Milk Chocolate before Justin Roberts had even finished their introduction and the match was over in just over 30 seconds.
My Score: 1 out of 5 Match #2: Evil Uno, Alan “5” Angels & Colt Cabana def. Andrew Palace, Spencer Slade & Cole Karter
My Thoughts: Another great trios match from the Dark Order. Whilst Evil Uno and Colt Cabana are the names in this match is was Alan “5” Angels that stole this one – dominating their opponents and looking damn tough doing it!
My Score: 2.5 out of 5 Match #3: Lance Archer def. Angel Fashion
My Thoughts: Jesus… What an entrance for Archer!

Welcome to this weeks review of Aew: Dark, which can’t be any worse than this weeks Elevation can it? Let’s find out!
Match #1: Powerhouse Hobbs & Ricky Starks def. Aaron Frye & Brick Aldridge
My Thoughts: Well this was Supossed to be a tag match… Instead we got Powerhouse Hobbs squashing his opponents in around 30 seconds as Ricky Starks looked on in repose. Isn’t it about time Hobbs got some legitimate competition?
My Score: 1 out of 5 Match #2: Leyla Hirsch def. Diamante
My Thoughts: Well damn! This was a well-matched pair. Diamante and the Legit one went toe-to-toe in a match that looked brutal – literally like neither woman pulled any punches… or kicks! Leyla Hirsch looked like she was having as much fun here as she did in her tag matches with Ryo Mizunami.

This weeks Aew Dark: Elevation got a Lot of things right, so lets see if Aew can follow-up one great show with another… Welcome to this weeks review of Aew: Dark!
Match #1: The Acclaimed def. Fuego Del Sol and D3
My Thoughts: No! Not another squash match for poor Fuego Del Sol. He’s got to get a win in someday doesn’t he? Much like their E;levation appearance, this match was pretty much to show how The acclaimed are back together and just as good as before Bowen’s injury. Just a shame Fuego had to be in yet another losing side.
My Score: 1.5 out of 5 Match #2: Matt and Mike Sydal def. David Ali and Aaron Frye

Welcome to this weeks review of Aew: Dark which, after a ridiculously long Elevation this week, is a breezy 90 minute show. Thank god. Like the show, let’s keep this review short and sweet too and get straight to it!
Match #1: Scu def. Jay Lyon & Midas Black
My thoughts: Lyon and Black got destroyed by Ftr on Elevation and now get destroyed by Scu on Dark… Though they did get some weird circus-esque manoeuvres in on Kazarian and Daniels. Though Wtf that move was I have no idea.
My score: 1.5 out of 5 Match #2: Matt Sydal vs. Luther
My thoughts: Luther and his third eye versus Matt Sydal and his third eye. Seems like a match made in heaven… Though I really did miss Kuther throwing Serpentico around the ring like a lawn dart. Ultimately this was a pretty decent match, even if Luther constantly looked gassed.

Welcome to this weeks review of Aew Dark: Elevation, and I can’t believe we’re back to a ridiculous 2 And A Half(!) hour long show. Really Aew? Really? Do you want people to Not watch your product… Seriously, last weeks 90-odd minute show was the perfecrt length. This one? Not so much.
Match #1: Dark Order’s 10 def. Zack Clayton
My thoughts: Poor 10. Just when you thought he was due for a push up the card, facing some decent opponents, he gets to face a reality TV star come wrestler in Zack Clayton. Who looks less like he was green and more like he was literally walking through an over-rehearsed match. Slow, cumbersome and telegraphing a lot of moves this was amateur-hour stuff that went on – and I can’t believe I’m saying this – too long! Poor 10… But hey, at least -1 got to have fun.

Welcome to this weeks review of Aew: Dark which, like its namesake Elevation, is a shorter show this week. Thank god. Like the show, let’s keep this review short and sweet too – let’s go!
Match #1: Dark Order def. Jake St. Patrick, Sage Scott, & Chandler Hopkins
My Thoughts: Godammit, Evil Uno and Stu Grayson are good, aren’t they? They made this look easy, ebbig and flowing, tagging in and out, destroying the team of St. Patrick, Scott and Hopkins. Throw Reynolds in the mix and you have. tremendous trios team! Hell, throw Any Drak Order member in with Uno and Grayson and you have a damn good Trios team! Short and sweet.
My score: 3 out of 5 Match #2: Team Taz def. Brick Aldridge, Justin Law, & Hayden Backlund
My Thoughts: A Backlund… on Aew? Ok, so Hayden might only be a distant relation of the legendary Bob Backlund but still.

After last week’s successful outing for Aew Dark: Elevation, and the fact it looks like Aew have cut down on the sheer number of matches on this week’s episode meaning this weeks episode is a lot shorter than the 2+ hours of episode three, I thought we’d revisit Aew Dark: Elevation and see how the latest episode fares… With that said, let’s get to it!
Match #1: Adam Page def. Bill Collier
My Thoughts: Bill Collier puts in another great showing, though he did still look a bit green – waiting for the odd move from Hangman Page and he looked mis-positioned for Page’s Buckshot… Still its only his second match in Aew. And you have to love Page handing Collier a beer after the match!
My score: 2 out of 5 Match #2: Varsity Blondes def. Dean Alexander & Carlie Bravo

We’ve got an extra pre-Revolution episode of Aew: Dark this week – ninty minutes of PPV teases and matches that (I suspect) will make no sense follwing the PPV… Anyone else think the same? Everytime there’s a “game-changing” Aew pay per view it seems we get an extra Dark. Now is that as a lead in for the PPV or… as I suspect… are they burning off pre-taped matches that will be effected by the outcome of said PPV? Whatever the case its more Aew in a week and I’m here for it!
Match #1: The Natural Nightmares def. Peter Avalon and Cesar Bononi
Bononi got to showcase his strength in this match, even if it ran a mere (and swift) four plus minutes. Nothing really stood out in this opener making this a very cool start to a Dark that should’ve been hot from the get-go.

Welcome to this week’s Aew Dynamite review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and this whole show is dedicated to Brodie Lee. Well, I’ll skip on the sass and get right to the review, because I’m a dumb-ass.
Actually, I’m going to do this a bit differently than usual. Apparently, the entire card was booked by Brodie Lee’s son, so this is his card. Here are the matches that were on the show:

Hey, do you like good matches with way too many promos surrounding them? You’re gonna love Aew! Well, we do have a World Title match tonight, so let’s see if it is a good one (kinda).
Match #1: Darby Allin def. Ricky Starks
My Opinion: 3.8 out of 5 – This was some fabulous wrestling that got cut off by an interference angle and going too short. That being said, there is so much breath-taking athleticism in here that you’ll go wild for much of this. Starks has a hell of a lot going for him, if this match is any indication. There were some growing pains, but All Elite Wrestling has been able to hold its own during the days of Covid. In their last PPV, Double or Nothing 2020, they played up the situation with what’s probably the best ever use of the cinematic wrestling match gimmck with the Stadium Stampede. Now they’re getting ready for their next big PPV, Aew All Out 2020.
There’s some history behind the name of this PPV. Aew’s prototype show back in September 2018 was called All In, which centered around various wrestling promotions and indie talent working together. Aew officially launched a few months later and around its anniversary they had the first All Out. It gave us the crowning of the first Aew Champion in Chris Jericho, an all-women Casino Battle Royal, the surprise debut of Orange Cassidy, and the first (and hopefully not last) Cracker Barrel Clash.

Match #1: Best Friends def. Demetri Jackson and Storm Thomas
My Opinion: 3 out of 5 – This was far too short for a match so prepared to knock your socks off. Every-body worked hard to keep the pace up and they were successful. This wasn’t so action oriented, but it was steady wrestling that never faltered. I liked what was here, but I wanted more of it.

My Opinion: 2.9 out of 5 – This was getting good, but it got cut off before it could do anything you’d remember. I…smell that turkey cook. Sabian and Nakazawa did some great character stuff that I didn’t always care about, but appreciated nonetheless. All in all, this was a short but sweet opener.

Welcome to this week’s All Elite Wrestling: Dark review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we’ve got an hour of action, because fickle ol’ Tony can’t make-up his frickin’ mind! I…don’t wanna do this. I’m gonna let Mark D. Mark handle this…old prick.
Greetings dorks and dorkettes! “Smart” Mark D. Mark here to handle all of your wrestling needs, while Nathan totters off to stick his tongue in his dead mom’s bone-dust like the chode that he is. We have more pathetic losers grappling their little hearts out because they don’t have the guts to abandon their pathetic dreams because their pathetic lives hang on the tenuous grip of sanity that the roar of the crowd provides. In this hour of majority silence, I, “Smart” Mark D. Mark, would like to remind you that Covid-19 is just fake...

Welcome to this week’s All Elite Wrestling: Dark review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and Alex Jones is a crazy prick. We’ve got a super-sized 12 match extravaganza that has Ftr competing, in addition to several notable others. Pizzagate was bullsh*t and this show starts…when-ever you play the video on YouTube.
Match #1: Ftr def. The Initiative
My Opinion: 2.8 out of 5 – Ftr and the team of Avalon and Cutler had a nice romp around the block that was never able to quite reach its potential, but it was still hearty wrestling action and that’s always welcome.
Match #2: Joey Janela and Sonny Kiss def. Michael Nakazawa and Pineapple Pete (Sugar Dunkerton/Suge D)
My Opinion: 2.8 out of 5 – This was a bizarre match with a lot of Kiss/Nakazawa chaos with oil and asses, but the wrestling was crisp and unique.
Match #3: Abadon def.

Welcome to this week’s All Elite Wrestling: Dynamite review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and this faccaca non-sense has me incensed! Frankie Muniz will also be helping us with the review. Frankie… Frankie Muniz: Hell… (car runs him over) Nathan: Sh*t! At least we had TalkTech here to record his death, right Jonjo? Jonjo: I’m a sadist! Nathan: Alright, you hillbilly computer glitch, let’s enjoy Fyter Fest, part 2 (…the fuck is a Fyter?).
Match #1: Kenny Omega & Adam Page def. Private Party (Marq Quen & Isiah Kassidy) – Aew World Tag Team Championship Match The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:
Private Party beat Santana and Ortiz last week to earn the shot at the champs tonight. Kenny and Hangman are 9-0 going into tonight’s match. Quen and Kenny squared off with Quen taking Kenny off his feet with head scissors. He tried for...

Okay, here come a thousand squash matches and one match featuring more than a minute of actual wrestling.

Welcome to this week’s All Elite Wrestling: Dark review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and I’m writing this out of order, so I can say a bit about the numerous accusations of sexual misconduct (to put it very lightly) from wrestlers all over the world. Just because there are a plethora of deviants in wrestling, that doesn’t mean you have to quit wrestling or be ashamed to watch it, but it does mean that it’s gonna leave a bad taste in your mouth for a while. As many pigs as there are in wrestling, it would seem we also have many who are good people as well. Jordan Devlin may be a monster, but Daniel Bryan (Bryan Danielson) seems to be a good man, by and large. Marty Scurll might be a scum-bag, but Jeff Hardy has a great reputation (his drug addiction...

Welcome to this review of All Elite Wrestling: Double Or Nothing, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we lost Hana Kimura, Shad Gaspard and Larry Csonka. Shad and Larry have GoFundMe pages you can donate to here and here. When I was Pam Grier, my sweet, black ass always loved to watch half-naked people grab each other real hard and I’m doing that now as Double Or Nothing begins…now.
Match #1: Best Friends defeated Private Party
My Opinion: 3.4 out of 5 – This was a sparkly match. Sparkly is the word I’m sticking with…sparkly out the ass. While no Steiners/Road Warriors clash of maniacs frenzy, this was an encouraging sign for Aew’s tag division, as Pp did better than they have in the past, while the BFs line-danced their way to the win.

Welcome to this week’s Aew: Dynamite review, right here on Nerdly. Anyway, f— Joy Behar and let’s get to the wrestling, damn it.
Match #1: Lance Archer defeated Colt Cabana – TNT Championship Tournament Quarter-Final Match The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:
Colt and Archer met face to face in the ring and Archer belted Colt with a stiff shot, knocking him off his feet before the bell rang. Colt tried to fight back with strikes of his own but Archer rocked Colt again. “Colt’s not going to back down. He’s a veteran,” said Schiavone. Colt fired up and started chopping Archer’s chest. This only angered Archer, who plowed into Colt with a shoulder block.

Welcome to this week’s All Elite Wrestling: Dynamite review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have some good matches here to watch, let’s Fellini this f—– ‘til it 8 ½’s my La Dolce Vita.
Match #1: Lance Archer def. Alan Angels The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:
The Murderhawk Monster began right away mauling the competition. Archer gave Angels an overhand suplex from a chokeslam position! “I’ve never seen anything like that before, Tony!” said Jericho. “Archer will face Colt Cabana in the first round of the tournament coming up,” added Tony. Lance Archer finished up with a running elbow and then “the Blackout” for the three-count! “He blacks out another one, decimating Alan Angels,” said Tony. “Lance Archer dominates tonight!” concluded Jericho.
My Opinion: 1.9 out of 5 – There’s a move that happened at the beginning that was really cool, but the match itself was a squash,...

Vince bought out the whole league…we’re f—–! April Fools! Did you know that they cut the third act out? Darren McGavin was the real killer…April Fools! Dynamite begins…April Fo…wait, it is starting.
Match #1: Kenny Omega defeated Trent The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:
Cody noted that Trent is a 16-year pro in the wrestling ring. Kenny and Trent chain-wrestled early on in the matchup. They traded forearms and then Kenny began stomping on Trent.

Welcome to this week’s Aew: Dynamite review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have an empty arena show that has more wrestling without a crowd, thanks to the coronavirus panic. I just heard about the first American to get this and he said that if you get it, then get up and stay active, because the virus crystalizes in your lungs and makes it hard to breathe. No wonder why the old and sickly are so prone to this. If you’re young and/or healthy, then it sounds like getting out and about is not the worst thing to do, but the old should just stay in their homes where we young bucks can’t get those elderly sick. Also, old folks are constantly telling us that we are making this (albeit serious) illness out to be more than it is. Our elders have...

Match #1: Cody Rhodes defeated Ortiz The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:
Ortiz gave Cody a head-butt to the midsection, and then an Irish whip to the turnbuckle. “The Murderhawk” Lance Archer, alongside Jake “the Snake” Roberts, made their way through the crowd in the stands to get a closer view of Cody’s match! Cody threw Ortiz into the metal steps on the outside of the ring. Santana distracted Cody, and Ortiz kicked Cody’s leg out from under him. “That wheel is giving Cody some problems right now,” said Jim Ross. Ortiz suplexed Cody, but “the American Nightmare” lifted his shoulders before the three-count. Ortiz tried...

Welcome to this week’s Nxt review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have Nxt… right now.
Match #1: Heavy Machinery def. The Forgotten Sons The following is courtesy of WWE.com:
With every duo jockeying for position in the crowded Nxt Tag Team division, two of the heaviest-hitting teams — Heavy Machinery and The Forgotten Sons — threw down with zeal in a rollicking clash. The outlook was bleak for Otis Dozovic & Tucker Knight at first as Steve Cutler & Wesley Blake used quick tags to expertly cut off the ring and take turns targeting Dozovic’s arm. Tucker Knight altered the complexion once he tagged in, somersaulting off the top rope onto Cutler for a two-count, but The Forgotten Sons regained the advantage after a combination lungblower/elbow drop. Cutler & Blake looked to continue their double-team tactics when Dozovic re-entered the match, but by that point, Heavy...

WWE Extreme Rules is the time of year where stipulation matches take centre stage, so what better time to look back at some of the strangest gimmick matches in wrestling history.
Kennel from Hell
Watch It Here
So a retired prison guard steals your dog, invites you over and tricks you into eating him. How do you get revenge? Challenge them to a, “Kennel from Hell” that’s how! On paper it sounded intimidating. A cage surrounding the ring, a hell in the cell surrounding that and in between those rabid dogs. The only way to win was to escape both cages and outrun those angry dogs. Sounds exciting. Unfortunately it wasn’t.
The first (and last) “Kennel from Hell,“ took place at WWF Unforgiven 1999, between Al Snow and the Big Bossman. Unforgiven was already an odd event before the Kennel even came out. The first match of the evening...
