In 2007’s Enchanted, Patrick Dempsey played the suitor to Amy Adams’s animated-turned-human princess. (Spoiler alert: They get their “happily ever after” wedding at the end of the movie.) The events of the new sequel, Disenchanted, pick up with Dempsey and Adams’s character still happily married 10 years later and leaving Manhattan for a quieter suburban life. It had been a long time since the two actors had worked with each other, but Dempsey told us that — aside from Covid protocol complications — they pretty much picked up where they left off. The highly anticipated "Enchanted" sequel, "Disenchanted," has finally arrived on Disney+, 15 years after the original was released in 2007. "Enchanted" alum Amy Adams (Giselle), Patrick Dempsey (Robert Philip), James Marsden (Prince Edward), and Idina Menzel (Nancy Tremaine) all return for the new film, which also features newcomer Gabby Baldacchino as Robert's daughter, Morgan Philip. Rachel Covey played the character in the original movie, so you may be wondering - why was she recast? Let's investigate.
Why Was Morgan Recast in Disney's "Disenchanted"?
According to the film's synopsis, "Disenchanted" takes place 15 years after the events of the original movie. Giselle and Robert are now married and decide to move from New York to the suburb of Monroeville with their teenage daughter, Morgan. There, Giselle "must juggle the challenges that come with a new home and discover what happily ever after truly means to her and her new family."

Disenchanted is a multi-genre musical movie starring Amy Adams and Patrick Dempsey. This sequel to Enchanted (2007) is directed by Adam Shankman.
With the customary Disney production quality, a great lead actress, and cast, with as much irony as there is sweet, sweet, sweetness, we are offered a movie that aims to laugh at itself, and will appease the most eeeevil of cynics among us.
Premise
This is a story of what happens after the “happily ever after”. Giselle is married and seemingly happy in New York. Life starts to take a toll, after years of marriage, becoming a mother, the humdrum of it all simply is dull. But then, she sees a sign, a billboard advertising Monroeville. Without hesitation Robert and Giselle decide to relocate to that idyllic and magical suburban town that reminds her oh so much of Andalasia.
Movie Review

Hollywood actress-comedian Maya Rudolph, who plays the villain Malvina in the musical fantasy film ‘Disenchanted’, feels the film’s honesty about domestic life will resonate with the audience.
Elaborating on the same, she said, “I think people will love ‘Disenchanted’ for its honesty about domestic life. Giselle (played by Amy Adams) is well-intentioned in her efforts to create a fairytale life for her family, but life cannot always be a fairytale. Through it all, it is just important to think about all the little moments we take for granted with people special to us.”
Amy Adams, who essays the role of Giselle Philip, feels that change is a natural process and is the only constant, ironically.
Sharing her thoughts on the movie, Amy Adams said, “It’s about understanding that change is a natural part of life. And the more we fight change and try to return to who we were,...

Patrick Dempsey was doing a quickie interview on the D23 Expo red carpet when he was interrupted by a familiar face to both him and his fans — his “Grey’s Anatomy” costar, Ellen Pompeo. And a playful exchange ensued.
When Pompeo popped up behind Dempsey and began to talk, he grabbed the mic from Yahoo!’s Kevin Polowy and flipped from the interviewee to the interviewer.
“Hi, everybody. I am on the red carpet here with Yahoo! interviewing the legendary Ellen Pompeo,” he said directly into the camera as she laughed and threw her arm around his shoulder. “Ellen, what does it feel like to be a legend?”
“Well, I thought we were already legends, but I am really happy that we are officially legends,” she smiled, prompting Dempsey to confirm, yes, it’s official.

The long-anticipated sequel to “Enchanted” is almost here! The trailer to the sequel dropped Friday at Disney’s D23 Expo, and it promises life’s not always a fairytale in the suburbs.
The trailer opens with Amy Adams as Giselle, a princess that finds her way from her animated fairy-tale land into the real world finding herself in the suburbs of Monroeville and married to Robert Philip (Patrick Dempsey).
James Marsden, who played Giselle’s daft fairy-tale prince — and who ends up with Robert’s ex, Nancy (Idina Menzel) — in the first film, told Et last fall that he was excited to return to the role.
“They have been talking about making it for years,” said Marsden, who’s reprising his role of Prince Edward. “I got my hopes up many times before and recently I was like, ‘Sure, sure, they’re going to make it.’ And last year they said,...

Disney has released the official trailer for the “Enchanted” sequel, “Disenchanted,” set to premiere exclusively on Disney+ Nov. 24.
Six-time Academy Award-nominated star Amy Adams reprises her role as the beloved Giselle from the 2007 rom-com. Patrick Dempsey, James Marsden and Idina Menzel also return for the sequel, with Jayma Mays, Oscar Nuñez, Yvette Nicole Brown, Gabrielle Baldacchino and Maya Rudolph joining the cast.
“Disenchanted” takes place 15 years after Giselle and Robert’s happily ever after, in which the couple and Robert’s daughter Morgan (Gabrielle Baldacchino) move to the suburbs. The original “Enchanted” followed the story of Giselle, the animated princess-to-be from Andalasia who was magically transported to the real-life world of New York City, where she meets and falls in love with lawyer Robert Philip (Dempsey).
“To work with everybody again after 14 years is just really exciting,” Dempsey told Variety in April of 2021. “We need some escapism right now. We...

Long before Bob Clark brought his name to fame in the horror community with “Black Christmas”, he put out a much lower budgeted flick in this third directorial debut with “Children Shouldn’t Play with Dead Things.” This movie was a pleasant little surprise to me as when I hear horror movies are “comedies” they are hits and misses. I am not the biggest fan of horror comedies thankfully this wasn’t what I thought it was at all. It was more morbid than anything else.
