The novel will be released April 28 in the UK and stateside in June.
The story follows four friends seeking shelter in a small abandoned hunting lodge during a deadly Icelandic storm. But nothing can prepare them for what they find behind the door.
Ridley Scott, Tom Moran, and Vera Meyer of Scott Free Productions will produce alongside Leifur Dagfinnsson and Kristinn Thordarson of Truenorth Productions.
“Working with Ridley Scott, one of the great visionaries of cinema, is an immense honor,” said Jónasson.

Ridley Scott will executive produce a thriller called “Panopticon” that is based on a script that landed on the Black List in 2017, and Agc Studios will finance and co-produce the film, the studio’s chairman and CEO Stuart Ford announced Thursday.
Andrés Baiz (“Narcos”) will direct “Panopticon” from the Black List script by Emily Jerome, and production is slated to begin this fall, with casting already underway.
The word “panopticon” refers to a prison designed in a round such that all the prisoners can be watched at once by a single guard, and because they can’t see when they’re being watched, they’re motivated to use good behavior.

AMC may soon be in for a thrill. The American network will be teaming up once again with British network Channel 4 for a new "global thriller," Digital Spy reports.
This will be the second collaboration for AMC and Channel 4, who currently co-produce the popular sci-fi series Humans. The new project, titled White Rabbit, will also be in the vein of science fiction but with a touch of mystery and an ensemble cast. The show comes from British writer Tom Moran, a young novelist whose script for White Rabbit won the AMC-Channel 4 Drama Co-Development Award.
No official news on any premiere dates.

After the success of Humans, it's perhaps no surprise that Channel 4 is re-teaming with Us broadcaster AMC on a new project - and it's another sci-fi series.
White Rabbit is a "global" thriller with a "huge cast of characters", according to Broadcast.
A sci-fi mystery drama, the series has been devised by upcoming British screenwriter and novelist Tom Moran.
Channel 4's head of international drama Simon Maxwell said: "Channel 4 is committed to working with the boldest, brightest, most original voices in drama, whether established or emerging, both here in the UK and internationally."
AMC collaborated with Channel 4 on the acclaimed sci-fi Humans after the UK channel's original partner, Xbox Entertainment Studios, closed last year.
