Come Thursday, July 21, Activision and developer Infinity Ward will be staging a presentation at San Diego Comic-Con about all things Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.
Clocking in at one hour in length, the studio is expected to cast light on “the creative process of crafting the campaign” at the heart of Infinite Warfare. Catapulting the Call of Duty series into the far-future, it’s understood that the creative team is looking to seminal war movies in the vein of Saving Private Ryan and Black Hawk Down as inspiration.
We already know that Game of Thrones star Kit Harington will lend his likeness to the game’s chief villain, though Activision confirmed today that its collection of Hollywood talent also features Brian Bloom (The A-Team, Once Upon a Time in America), Jamie Gray Hyder (True Blood), David Harewood (Supergirl) and Jeffrey Nordling...

Game of Thrones actor Kit Harington will portray the chief villain in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, Activision has confirmed.
From the Night’s Watch to a power-mongering conglomerate known as the Settlement Defense Front, word of Harington lending his likeness to the über-popular shooter franchise first surfaced just yesterday, when a picture of the actor posing beside facial capture equipment was spotted online.
Now, the casting is a done deal, and though Infinity Ward didn’t disclose the identity of Harington’s big bad, Narrative Director Taylor Kurosaki welcomed the actor’s addition to the franchise with open arms:
“Kit is an amazing talent, and the consummate pro,” said Taylor Kurosaki, narrative director, Infinity Ward. “Our story is about an epic showdown of opposing forces, and Kit immersed himself into the role and truly became the embodiment of the enemy, the Settlement Defense Front. We can’t wait for...

With the guys behind "The Last of Us" are now in charge, and that initial teaser trailer seemed quite dark, you could be forgiven for thinking Naughty Dog had plans to change the tone of its popular action/adventure game series "Uncharted" to something darker and grimmer than the previous outings.
However, Naughty Dog co-president Evan Wells says that isn't the case. Wells confirms the upcoming fourth and final game in the series, "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End," will retain the light-hearted adventure (with elements of darkness) tone of the previous games rather than using the grim, serious tone of 'Last'. Think more "The Last Crusade" rather than "Temple of Doom":
"Uncharted is a completely different franchise, and appeals to its audience for completely different reasons. I don't think The Last of Us marks a new direction in tone that all of our future games are going to take on.
