A new episode of Chicago P.D. paid tribute to Carl Weathers.
“In memory of Carl Weathers,” read the title at the end of the February 7 episode.
Carl had been part of the One Chicago family, but he died earlier this month.
A statement from his family revealed that Carl had “died peacefully in his sleep on Thursday, February 1.”
“Carl was an exceptional human being who lived an extraordinary life,” read part of the note.
“Through his contributions to film, television, the arts and sports, he has left an indelible mark and is recognized worldwide and across generations. He was a beloved brother, father, grandfather, partner, and friend,” his family expressed.
Why did Chicago P.D. pay tribute to Carl Weathers?

After Chicago Justice, I Need The Fifth
Things weren’t looking good. Not for Assistant State’s Attorney Peter Stone. And not for me. Not for Stone, because he was the star of Dick Wolf’s new TV show, Chicago Justice and things never look good for prosecuting attorneys in the first three acts of a Dick Wolf. Not for me, because I was watching Dick Wolf’s new TV show, Chicago Justice.
Stone was prosecuting Dylan Oates for arson and murder. Oates had set fire to a factory being used for a rave, resulting in dozens of injuries and 39 deaths. Oates was a smarmy, spoiled millennial whose condescending sneer alone should have made the jury want to convict him. But the case against Oates was coming in badly thanks to Oates’s high-priced and equally-smarmy defense attorney, Albert Forest. Stone decided he needed to establish a motive to secure a conviction.

When Chicago Justice was announced, many people asked "Do we really need a Chicago lawyer show?" Based on Chicago Justice Season 1 Episode 1, the answer is we most certainly do.
"Fake" is everything that Chicago Justice needed to be and everything that a great legal drama should be. It's a smartly written hour with genuine suspense that provokes meaningful discussion, and the Law & Order references are a very nice touch for anyone who knows their Dick Wolf series history.
The episode wisely stays away from simplifying its legal drama down to "Chicago Pd catches bad guy and State's Attorneys bust bad guy." It actively attacks the police's investigation of the massive warehouse arson and encourages the audience to do the same.
It even gets particularly thorny when State's Attorney Mark Jefferies, who is as politically minded as he is legally minded, makes his top litigator Peter Stone aware that both Stone's...

Judging the #OneChicago franchise’s latest entry, Chicago Justice, off Wednesday’s special preview feels a bit like cheating. After all, the hour was part of a crossover, not a regular installment. But the Chicago shows are always intermixing, sometimes casually, sometimes meaningfully. So in a way, Justice‘s premiere was a normal episode.

Here at Et, we’re obsessed with a lot of things -- and for the week of Feb. 27 to March 5, this is what we’re most excited about:
Why We’re Obsessed With ‘Missing Richard Simmons’
From filmmaker Dan Taberski comes a gripping new podcast that seeks to answer the question: Whatever happened to longtime fitness guru Richard Simmons? After disappearing from public life and seemingly ghosting all his close friends and supporters in 2014, Simmons mostly hasn’t been heard from since. Taberski, a fan and friend of Simmons, makes it his mission to find the answer to that question, while also uncovering what made Simmons the man he is today. The podcast, which is only two episodes in, blends the mystery of Serial with those E! True Hollywood Story specials that became popular in the late ’90s.

Was there anyone who was happy in this week's Chicago Pd? Maybe Halstead since he got a new toy. But Chicago Pd Season 4 Episode 15 was a joyless affair for everyone else.
"Favor, Affection, Malice or Ill Will" had two major storylines. The first involved a father looking for vengeance on the man that he believed murdered his daughter, but it's not a spoiler to say that the guy he believed was responsible was not the actual killer.
The Intelligence Unit re-opened Rebecca Clark's murder case and unraveled the tangled web to close it. The highlight of this was Voight throwing a guy across a counter to get information. We should start a drinking game for every time Voight does something that is way off book but yet still vastly entertaining.
She'd only been in Chicago six months when she got killed.

After shots were fired during Wednesday night’s Chicago P.D., we got our first taste of the Windy City-set franchise’s likely next offshoot, Chicago Justice.
PhotosMay Sweeps/Finale Preview: Scoop on Chicago Fire, P.D., Med and More
The crux of the episode involves a shooting, in which Roman is seriously injured. Burgess runs after the assailant and shoots him in the back multiple times. But it’s hardly case closed after that. The young man, Michael Ellis, is, by all accounts, an Eagle Scout. Even worse, the police have no eyewitnesses and can’t find the gun...

It's Fright Night on The X Factor this week and boy, wouldn't you know it! Not only are the acts all singing 'Fright Night'-themed songs (or, well, they're supposed to be) but one of them will be booted out before the night is out after Simon Cowell got fed up with them all for not trying hard enough. If that's not all scary enough, The Script will be popping along to perform.

The opening episode of Britain's Got Talent was delayed this evening (April 12) by ITV's coverage of Fa Cup football.
The semi-final tie between Wigan Athletic and Arsenal went to extra time and penalties, resulting in Britain's Got Talent starting 45 minutes later than scheduled at 8pm. Arsenal emerged victorious.
The news was met with anger from some enthusiastic fans of Simon Cowell's talent show, while others hoped that the episode would be delayed indefinitely. However, most took the opportunity to joke about the situation.

We were delighted to read that Simon Cowell’s former right hand woman Sinitta may have bit the hand that fed her and managed to get herself ordered off The X Factor.
Sinitta is said to have leaked details of plans to change how the X Factor finalists will be chosen this year. She then helped to launch a website for singing wannabes, with a section called X Factor Challenge which claims hopefuls can “challenge the judges” by posting auditions online. She publicised her new project heavily at the Twilight premiere last week and is reported to have claimed that she could help get people on the ITV show.
Sinitta said: “I want to give people another chance. I will let people upload their efforts and have them judged by the public.
“I’ve thrown down the gauntlet to Simon to give people a place in the final.”
