Mitch Hunter joins as strategy director from Publicis Mojo to run the Vodafone, while Dave Mallam joins as customer experience strategist from Bullseye.
Brett Dawson, managing partner said: ““We are stoked to have Mitch on board. She is so talented and just a lovely person. We can’t wait to see her deliver career defining work for Vodafone”.
He added: “We are delighted that someone of Daves’ calibre and experience will be part of the Bohemia journey. He will initially focus on Vodafone, creating seamless customer engagement and helping content to ensure the business is ready to fulfil and maximise the potential of the comms idea”.
Bohemia won the strategy account of Vodafone from Ikon earlier this month.

Mutant Chronicles tries to be The Dirty Dozen meets Aliens but it’s really more like Pearl Harbor meets The Chronicles Of Riddick. In case you couldn’t guess, that’s Not a compliment. It’s out today from Magnolia (reviewed from the $26.98 single-disc DVD; also available as a $29.98 two-disc Collector’s Edition DVD; $34.98 Blu-ray).
Director Simon Hunter and screenwriter Philip Eisner haven’t been prolific in the last decade. Hunter hasn’t helmed a feature since 2000’s Lighthouse (a decent horror movie) and Eisner has only added Firestarter: Rekindled to his credits since penning Paul W.S. Anderson’s Event Horizon. Perhaps both have gotten a little rusty over the years, because Mutant Chronicles is a boring, flavorless, sermonic flick that dulls with its repetitive, exhausting “action” sequences and tiresome, pedagogical passages on the values of religious conviction and blind faith.

It’s not really news that movies inspired by video games tend to have major flaws; but with role playing games like Dungeons and Dragons or, in this case, Mutant Chronicles the track record isn’t quite as set in stone. Mutant Chronicles doesn’t really help the case for role playing game adaptations, but if you’re willing to take the proceedings with a grain of salt then you just might enjoy yourself in spite of all the film’s flaws.
Imagine if the scrolling yellow text of Star Wars ran on for about five minutes to give us a lengthy expositional background on the world’s greatest war waged between the planet’s remaining four mega-corporations. Trench warfare rages on until an enemy unexpected rises from the Earth’s core: a band of machine made mutants with no agenda save for killing all those standing in their way.

In honor of the limited theatrical release of Simon Hunter's wonderful post-apocalyptic actioner, The Mutant Chronicles, on April 23rd, we thought we'd give all of you the chance to win this sweet-ass mini-poster signed by Mitch Hunter himself, Thomas Jane. It was signed waaaay back when the film screened at Comic Con. I've had it framed over my desk for months and now it's someone else's turn to inherit it. It's a hit at parties... well, geek parties anyway.
The contest was open to citizens of the Us, Canada, the UK, Europe, Australia and New Zealand but it was a Canuk who won the draw.
Congratulations Josua of Quebec! You will receive your signed poster dans la mail tout de suite.
Want to learn more about the film? Check out its official website to watch the trailer and get more information about the release.
Check out the embiggened signature after the break.

In a career that has spanned three decades, Ron Perlman has moved seamlessly between the worlds of film, television and theater.

Mutant Chronicles, starring Thomas Jane and Mr. Ron Perlman, is a nice little Sci-Fi film where warring Corporations battle it out for global supremacy on a far future Earth. Has a nice Warhammer, war as religion, kind of feel to it. ScifiWire has a behind the scenes video with interviews with the director and cast, as well as some nifty sequences of dark spaces, big cannons, all hell breaking loose and assorted giant Sci-Fi goodness. Here’s an official description of the film. The Mutant Chronicles looks and feels like B-movie science fiction… because it is. It’s the type of movie that might show up on the Sci-Fi Channel (now strangely renamed to SyFy) and gain a rabid following, but the masses wouldn’t understand the appeal. The same will likely go for its TV release today and limited theatrical release April 24.
The noticeably cheap budget and novice special effects contribute to a difficulty immersing yourself in the alternate reality created here by the all-British crew. A list of veteran actors lend it some legitimacy, but you have to wonder how much effort it took for the actors to wander around in the heavily green-screened visuals. The same gritty filter applied to the 300 effects work has been layered here for the same darkened style, but there is a lack of substance underneath.

Sci Fi Wire has got its hands on three new preview images of "Mutant Chronicles". One of the pictures brings forth a closer look to Ron Perlman's character named Brother Samuel. The two others, on the other hand, display some of the scenes to be seen in the film.
"Mutant Chronicles" is set in the year 2707 when Earth is no longer recognizable. A war is raging between four giant corporations who control the planet, but when an errant shell destroys an ancient stone seal, mankind find themselves facing hideous necromutants with boneblades that grow from their arms. The mutants multiply by millions and they destroy all before them.

It’s been an interesting ride for Simon Hunter’s The Mutant Chronicles. According to Hunter, the movie has had many directors and actors attached over the course of the past decade, and has spent a lot of time in development hell. Hugely ambitious on a relatively modest budget, Hunter’s version of the film has already been released and reviewed in Europe, and has made the rounds at some film festivals and conventions here in North America. It will premiere in the U.S. on Video-On-Demand on March 27, 2009, before getting a limited release on April 24, 2009. Based loosely on the “Mutant Chronicles” role-playing game, the film is set in 2707, where four corporations are battling it out for Earth’s rapidly-depleting resources. However, when a wayward bomb destroys an ancient seal, a deadly mutant army is unleashed. Mitch Hunter (Thomas Jane) must lead a dramatic mission to destroy the mutants...

Review by: Dr. Nathan
Rating: 5 out of 10
Dr Nathan is unsure about steampunk extravaganzas like Mutant Chronicles – there is a certain stylistic joy imbedded in the fetishization of non-digital machinery, but ultimately you have to be very careful not to let the sets and props take over from the story, or you end up with the equipment as the movie’s stars, and the actors merely attendants with oil cans, or, in this case: god, guns and swords.
Mutant Chronicles does a good job of balancing the props and people so one doesn’t dominate, but unfortunately the people side is somewhat hampered by a less-than-stellar script and a proclivity to endless preaching about how god is love and love is life, and how these rotten mutants aren’t even life, but unlife, yadda yadda, and...

If only because we have been due a new media update on Mutant Chronicles -- hell, this week has kicked off short on any media updates -- our good buddy 'RonJon' has sent over the new quad poster for the film.
Mutant Chronicles Quad Poster
23rd century soldier Major Mitch Hunter (Jane) leads a fight against an army of underworld NecroMutants. Rea plays the former commander of Lieutenant Mitch Hunter (Jane), a 23rd century Marine who tries to save Earth by leading a band of soldiers against evil NecroMutants. Perlman portrays the leader of a religious sect who thinks he can destroy the mutants and save the planet, recruiting Hunter to join him.
The quad poster borrows a lot from the first poster we saw, including the tagline. While the first trailer impressed me in a home-shot, b-movie sort of way, the film's biggest drawn remains the cast.
