Arianne Zucker held a press conference on Thursday, February 8, to address the lawsuit she filed against Days of our Lives production company Corday Productions, the show’s executive producer Ken Corday, and former co-executive producer Albert Alarr. The long-time soap star, who played Nicole Walker on the Peacock series, has claimed she was fired for speaking out against Alarr. She said that while she had a “loyalty to Ken Corday and Corday Productions,” she needed to stand up for herself and other women on the show. Zucker addressed members of the press in Los Angeles and read from a prepared statement, where she alleged “female co-workers [were] being sexually harassed, violated, and degraded as women” by Alarr. “I myself have also been degraded, violated, and sexually harassed by Mr. Alarr,” she continued. “In March of 2023, several female employees were fired. There was complete dissolution of the all-female PR department. Female contracts were not renewed,...

Days of Our Lives star Arianne Zucker has filed a lawsuit claiming she and others were sexually harassed by the show’s co-executive producer, Albert Alarr.
Zucker played Nicole Walker on the NBC daytime soap opera for more than 25 years until her character was written off the show last year. Her lawsuit, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on Wednesday, alleges Alarr, who exited the show last summer amid a misconduct investigation, excessively filmed aggressive sex scenes and threesome sequences. Per the complaint, he once told Zucker’s co-star, “Believe me, I’d love to switch positions with you” while filming a scene.
The suit also claims that Alarr routinely made sexual comments, tightly hugged Zucker and other women and bullied female employees. Alarr would allegedly sit in a booth to watch sex scenes being filmed, often offering directions like “fuck him like you were younger,” the complaint says.

Update (2/8/24): TV Insider received an on-the-record statement from Robert M. Barta, attorney for Albert Alarr, which reads: “As Albert said when Ms. Zucker first leveled these outrageous claims through the press last year, her baseless allegations were examined in a detailed and entirely independent investigation that lasted for two months. Dozens of individuals cooperated, and every claim was thoroughly looked into. At the end of that process, the decision was made that Albert should continue in his role as Co-Executive Producer of Days of Our Lives.” “As Ms. Zucker’s own lawsuit all but admits, at a time of industry-wide cutbacks, she was aggressively seeking a significant personal pay increase and additional influence on the show. Having failed in those attempts, she is now – again – trying to exploit vile stereotypes to denigrate and demean a Black man who was in a position of power. “Well, enough is enough. Long-time director, producer, and, most recently, executive producer Albert Alarr was fired from Days of Our Lives following a misconduct investigation.
The complaints said Alarr was known for making staffers feel "uncomfortable and humiliated."
Former cast member Lisa Rina said that after her last visit to the Days spinoff, Beyond Salem, "I couldn't believe the work environment. It was disgusting. I was shocked."
The investigation took nine weeks, and originally Alarr was going to keep his job but be reprimanded and sent right back to work. But cast and crew said they'd had enough, as over 25 of them signed a petition demanding that Alarr be determined.
Our TV Fanatics and avid Days of Our Lives fans, Jack Ori, Laura Nowak, and Christine Orlando, are here to break down what happened and how it may have affected what we've seen on screen and will see in the future.

Two former Days Of Our Lives stars, Farah Galfond and Lisa Rinna, are lending their support to the more than 25 current cast members who have signed a petition calling for the removal of longtime co-executive producer/director Albert Alarr following a misconduct investigation and two Deadline reports on some of the allegations.
“I’m not on the cast anymore but I would love to sign the petition in spirit,” Galfond wrote in a retweet of Deadline’s latest story. “These were my experiences too. It wasn’t until I switched shows that I realized not every set was like that.”
Galfond proceeded to share one experience working with Alarr as a director.
“I had the particular misfortune of having Alarr direct my first ever ‘love’ scene when I was 19,” she wrote. “He was new so I was already nervous not having one of the other directors that I was used to.

After a misconduct investigation on the set of Days of Our Lives made headlines, production on the long-running Peacock daytime drama has been put on pause. The news comes days after Deadline reported that Corday Productions ordered an internal investigation into misconduct allegations against director and co-executive producer Albert Alarr. Cast and crew were scheduled to start filming again on July 31, but now they’ll resume working on August 7 at the earliest. “Corday Productions can confirm the one-week hiatus extension,” the company told Deadline in a new statement. As the site detailed last week, a complaint filed in March alleged that female Days staff members were not receiving equal pay and were disproportionately affected by a recent round of layoffs. But the investigation into that complaint expanded as staffers reported that Alarr, who has worked on the soap for two decades, has been abusive and made coworkers feel uncomfortable and humiliated,...

Days Of Our Lives, which streams on NBCUniversal’s Peacock platform, is going on an unplanned hiatus. ‘Days of Our Lives’ Actor Peter Reckell Calls Executive Producer Misconduct Accusations ‘Disturbing’
Longtime “Days of Our Lives” icon Peter Reckell spoke out on Wednesday about the accusations of workplace misconduct against the show’s longtime co-executive producer, Albert Alarr.
“We have learned disturbing news about the environment at [‘Days of Our Lives’],” Reckell wrote on Twitter. “It’s shocking to all who care deeply about the show, it’s [sic] legacy, and the audience who love it so much. With quick resolution, I hope to see a return to its past values of family and respect for all.”
Reckell first joined the soap in 1983, playing Bo Brady, wayward son of the Brady family who returns to the show’s fiction city of Salem after several years away. Alongside co-star Kristian Alfonso, who portrayed Bo’s love interest, Hope, he starred in the show’s defining romantic storyline during the 1980s. Lisa Rinna has spoken out about the “disgusting” environment on set of “Days of Our Lives” following an internal misconduct investigation of the show’s director/co-executive producer, Albert Alarr.
The actress, who’s occasionally appeared on the show over the years as Billie Reed, took to her Instagram Stories Tuesday to recount her time working on set under the direction of Alarr.
Her remarks come after it was revealed earlier Tuesday that Alarr, 67, had undergone a nine-week internal investigation in which 30-40 people, primarily women, were interviewed after several misconduct allegations were made against him. The investigation began in March after an initial complaint relating to recent layoffs was made by a female employee. The woman also claimed that working females on the show were “disproportionally impacted” and weren’t receiving equal pay.
