Kochi, Nov 1: Director Ashiq Abu and popular actress Rima Kallingal got married Friday sans any 'filmy glamour' here.
The two had a registered marriage attended by close relatives and a few colleagues.
"I have never mixed my professional life with my personal life and it would be the same," the actress told reporters after signing the marriage documents.
After working as an assistant with director Kamal for a few years, Abu became a full-fledged director in 2009 with Mammootty-starrer "Daddy Cool". Since then he has had a successful career with hits like "Salt N Pepper" and "22 Female Kottayam", which starred Rima.

Thiruvananthapuram, Oct 13: Upcoming director Ashiq Abu has confirmed that he and popular actress Rima Kallingal will get married next month. Both are active in Malayalam movies.

Salim Ahamed whose debut feature Adaminte Makan Abu picked up four national awards and was India’s official entry for the Oscars in 2012 is ready with his next film.
Titled Kunjananthante Kada (Kunjanandan’s Shop), the Malayalam-language film will release on August 30 in Kerala along with Mumbai, Chennai and Bangalore. The film will have a simultaneous release in the Gulf countries.
Kunjananthante Kada features Malayalam superstar Mammootty in the lead role. The film also features Nyla Usha and Salim Kumar. Oscar-winner Resul Pookutty (Slumdog Millionaire) is the sound-designer for the film.
It revolves around the strained relationship of a couple who lives together although their tastes and priorities are different.
