THE WINTER BUTTERFLY
During the Meijji period Japan was undergoing inumerous transformations. The theater became hugely popular with emotional plays depicting real life events of love and tragedies. The Winter Butterfly is a story within a "three acts play" where Haruko, Natsuko and Yukiko defy the corrupt and decadent Samurai Matsunaga who threatens their lives and destinies. All magically evoked by the scoring of Oscar Winning composer Stephen Warbeck and director by Marcus Tozini.
