When Einstein Lived in Pasadena
This is a clip of a more focused look at the little-known story of Albert Einstein's extended stays in Pasadena, CA during three winters in the early 1930's -- and the story of how Einstein seriously considered Pasadena's CalTech as a permanent base instead of choosing the Institute for Advanced Study at Princeton, NJ. Einstein is at or near the top of history's most brilliant minds but he was also actively engaged in many aspects of life. The documentary uses a trove of photographs of Einstein and the many people he interacted with on the world stage, rounded out with newsreel footage and newspaper clippings, it also includes a rare recording of Einstein speaking in English.
