The Walking Dead: Adaptation (2019)
Enjoyed Negan's storyline but having a hard time with the whisperers
I really wanted to like this episode as I have been fully invested in the entire series. I feel that the episode is flawed and particularly with the strategy and way of life of the whisperers. I hope we get further clarity because I find it hardly effective to travel slowly in packs and make yourself vulnerable to your "enemies". For example, the largest hole in the episode is during the bridge scene. Why would any whisperers allow themselves to be easy targets? They are basically walking to their death by allowing themselves to be surrounded in a contained tunnel...especially what we may discover is the daughter of the leader of the group. You cannot say that she planned it because there is no way of knowing if Darryl or Michonne would kill her first and not allow her to be captured. Sigh....
Speaking of Michonne, she is becoming one dimensional and needs to break out of her shell and monotone. She needs to have more layers and they are dragging her depression too far...in similar fashion when Rick went through a stage.
Negan's journey outside Alexandria and his inevitable return was certainly the most enjoyable part of the episode but the mid season premiere did not come firing out like I hoped it would.
