I just watched the pilot and fell in love with Max and Liz all over again. Nathan Parsons and Jeanine Mason have beautiful chemistry. There is tension among the 3 aliens that evokes emotion and makes you want to know more, and a mystery beyond the alien secrwt hanging over everyone that threatens to come between the star crossed lovers before they even have a chance to love each other.
The acting is well done and makes you feel for the characters both positive and negative as I believe intended. The storyline makes me want to come back next week to find out how it plays out. The political undercurrent makes me consider how people may really have to deal with those issues even when it may be hard to face.
The only negative I have is there were so many things crammed into this one episode some elements felt glossed over and rushed. I hope we get more indepth back story and time to ruminate and absorb what's going on in future episodes.
