It's been done, but this has soul

Yes, it's been done before, yes it's another tv show about food, but man, did they do it right. The people, the food, the shots, very well done. What really makes this a joy to watch is connecting with these families, their stories, they are all so emotional, sweet, sad, joyful. I love seeing each of their passion shine. Well done Netflix. Well done.

The Bear (2022– )

Enticing, captivating, real

If you have ever worked in a fast paced kitchen before, brace yourself for PTSD... this is so spot on, emulating the real world events of restaurant staff. I quite enjoyed this show (watched it all last night as I have a newborn so sleep isn't a thing at the moment) and oh man, did this have me gripping my seat through all 8 rather quick episodes. Just hoping this gets picked up for a few more seasons, I'd love to see White's character "Carmy" grow along with his sous!

A slap in the face of the wine business

If you've ever wondered how you insult the entire wine industry in a movie, look no further. From terrible descriptions to his single winery practices and terrible writing, this film does that in spades. If they left the emphasis on wine out of the film entirely, it would have just been a poorly written, yet somewhat enjoyable hour and a half. Overall, the acting from half of the cast could use improvement, and the writing an overhaul. You may need to cleanse your palate after this w(h)ine-o of a flick.

Interceptor (2022)

Wow...

This is... terribly acted, poorly written, and somehow the editing is even worse than the acting. How this movie was made/released at this time seems like a ridiculously poor choice and in bad taste. Can I ask for compensation for the last hour and a half I just wasted?

SPOILERS - not what you are expecting

NOT AN ALIEN MOVIE... at all.

I am rating this 1/10 for the sole fact that this is in no way a sci fi alien movie in the least. I hate that I am rating it so low as the main character put on a phenomenal performance about an ex soldier suffering from a sever bout of ptsd - in that aspect it is great, but please don't label this an alien sci fi thriller, that is a blatant lie.
