Carnival of Souls (1998)
Second Worse Film Ever
After "Fear Of Clowns" this is the worst film I have ever had the misfortune to see.
It narrowly beat "Fear Of Clowns" in that I forced myself to watch it through to the end. I wish I hadn't wasted valuable minutes of my life in doing so.
Like many of you, I was tricked into watching it by the association with Wes Craven. Needless to say, I will not be tricked in the same fashion again.
Very poor. So poor, that I remembered its name after all this time. This film is memorable only in its level of ineptitude.
Saved! (2004)
God only knows how this got such a high rating!
God only knows how this got such a high rating! It's not the worst film ever, it's just extremely pedestrian and average.
The actors are all cute and nice, but they are just so 'Hollywood' and stereotypical. I would love it, if just once, this type of film actually cast a realistic gay character, a realistic rebel and a realistic heroine.
I don't know much about religion, and I DON'T want to know any more than I already do, but I'm glad this film was satirical and hope for everyone in America's sake that schools like the one portrayed in this film do not really exist.
On a positive note, it was great to see Macauley Culkin back on the big screen.
Fear of Clowns (2004)
Amateur Nonsense
The acting in this film was diabolical: more wooden than a school play. It was so bad it had no comedy value either.
The detective character was the worst of all, and all these people should seriously consider a career change. This film had a feel about it that said that the director had just gathered a group of his mates together to act out a poorly written play for a laugh.
I confess that I cannot say whether this film had a good ending as I had to switch it off well before I got to the halfway stage even - it was THAT bad! I have never failed to watch a film all the way through, no matter how bad, before.
The clown was about as scary as a hippo. And what was with the weird speeded up part where he was chopping wood?
The camera techniques were all over the place and in a word this film was amateurish.
