Human Target: Kill Bob (2011)
one of the best of its kind
Human Target deals w/ extraordinary (sometimes fantastical) situations, but I get the impression that it is real people going through these experiences! Most series start like this (more or less) but then lose this most important quality (let's call it verisimilitude)! H T has done well in developing its characters, not making characterizations out of them. Guererro is a unique character in this medium, to my way of thinking; and yet he is a very believable persona. I believe the addition of Mrs Pucci & Ames good moves as well. They add some depth to the developmental potential. I enjoy the series very much & hope it continues to grow as it has done until now.
Chuck (2007)
one of the most innovative & creative new shows in a while!
There is very little on television these days that is either new or truly creative. I think that this series, "Chuck", qualifies on both counts. The action borders on the farcical, but this is true of much great literature (eg, Shakespeare's "A Comedy of Errors", Voltaire's "Candide", but the show is able to carry off this whimsical streak with great aplomb, creating, all the while, characters who are both sympathetic, believable & more than two-dimensional (not an easy task, when you are dealing with the overused, thoroughly stereo-typed area of computer geek-hood! The original question I had when I saw the 'Pilot' was, Fine, but where does it go from here? In a mere four episodes, the relationships have grown greater than I thought they could in a whole season! Well done! is my final word here. Well done, indeed!
