1) they built a drag mustang and took it to the track but didn't run a quarter mile timer - so after investing 2 hours watching we have no idea if the car even did 12's, certainly not the 8's they claimed at the beginning.
1b) a wheelie bar, really? If it doesn't require a parachute to stop, I don't think it needs a wheelie bar. I think either the shop or the customer thought it made it look more legit but when a shop struggles to start a car, finally get it to run (poorly!) and immediately shut the hood and give the car to the customer at a desolate drag strip, I have to assume it was far from ready to even be driven let along run down a strip. I'd like to see a "where is it now" episode for that car since I have a feeling it's at a legit shop getting things fixed. I'd really like to know what real Motörhead's like the guys on hot rod tv would say about their motor work and their "tune" of that "1000hp engine". They'd at least have the decency to dyno it and then take it for some drag runs and show us the numbers it put up and if it sucked they'd tell us what went wrong since they have a true wealth of knowledge.
1c) they too the time to setup the rear 4 link properly with the first axle, but when they swapped it they didn't put it back on a frame table so I'm guessing if it ever does 1000hp it's a terrifying experience.
2) wife built a decorative sheetmetal flower in one episode - is that what car shows have to offer these days?
3) why do all car shows have to show lame pranks and fooling around, and the inevitable "this is how we unwind after working hard" BS? "Oh good, they're driving go carts to unwind"
4) if I watch one more car show install exhaust bypass valves I'm gonna puke. I've seen them installed on shows probably a dozen times - car show producers, NO BODY NEEDS TO SEE THIS! It's like showing a bolt-on cold air intake installed for 10 minutes... it's something any exhaust shop does daily, it doesn't merit screen time.
I could go on but it's not worth it as I've given them a few hours of my attention and I'm not impressed. There's worse shows on motortrend unfortunately, but there's not enough hours in the day to watch anything less than great tv when you have the downtime.

To the 1/10 reviewer who gave review on October 13th - dude, only 2 episodes had aired when you gave that review, and you complain about it being boring... how would you know when the show has barely begun to dive into its subject matter? You also complain about its lack of depth, with a 3 sentence review... talk about a lack of depth. It's also your only review and you created an account just to crap on this show. People should take your review with a large dose of salt.
