Good Films, But It Could Have Been Better....
17 May 2007
Haggard: The Movie is the real life story of Ryan Dunn, and his girlfriend who cheated on him, also with the help from his two friend, 1. A skate boarder who lives for nothing, and, 2. A trying-to-be funny scientist (which doesn't really work) played by Bam Margera and Brandom Dicamillo.

The film Haggard The Movie also has a lot of the characters from Jackass, etc, but to say it was written by Bam Margera and Co. this is a very weak attempt, seems to me like it was written when he was bored, or as a project with they did not pay a lot of attention to.

The films also stars Bam's girlfriend Jennifer Rivell, who plays Glauren, Ryan's girlfriend who basically cheated on him, again very bad acting by Jennifer, another actor that some people may be interested in is Steve a.k.a Hellboy, played by RakeYohn, which his character does not seem to be with the story, again bad acting, also this character does not really have a lot of lines in this film which basically makes it very boring. but worst of all, is Raab's character, the voice sound like a smoker who basically has throat cancer, also i think he could have been improved! Overall i think the characters in this film aren't with the story, like in one scene, it would be on one certain character, a minute later, a different scene, different character.

To say that this is supposed to be a film, sort of a documentary, its not played by the characters as a documentary, the acting makes you think that its a cheap attempt at making a film with your spare time.

Towards the middle of the film we start to lose focus on the main character Ryan Dunn, although a lot of the attention is on Bam and Brandon.

In conclusion this film is OK, if you laugh at things that aren't very funny, stupid stunts, terrible acting and the occasional nude scene!, Also i think there there are too many scenes of just no talking and just music! 7/10

Aliens, The Mark That Will Never Be Left Behind
6 April 2007
Out of the 4 Alien movies that have been released in the course of 30 years i think this one has the most hard-hitting action out of the lot. Of course some key elements of this movie are that it was the 2nd Alien movie, it has the best actors, the fantastic SFX and of course the director. I loved this film, i still watch it today, i bought it 3 years ago (2003) and it just never gets boring. I think thats this film has been underrated in the top 250, i think it should be in the top 20, but other's have different opinions. I also thought that this movie was unlike any other sci-fi movie i've ever seen, Action-packed sci-fi thriller with twists and turns!!?! I Think Aliens Is The Best Movie Ever Made...

Bad Boys II (2003)

Bad Boys II... Absolute Adrenaline Rush!!
30 March 2007
Warning: Spoilers
I think that bad Boys II is a great film!! Its an action movie, loaded with action and humour!! Bad Boys II is the sequel to the all time classic Bad Boys (1995), (i think one of the best action comedies ever), only difference being, the two loose-cannon cops are after a Cuban, and this film also stars the sexy Gabrielle Union as Martin Lawrence's sister in the film.

I think Bad Boys II contains everything you need to make and action comedy, just all the ingredients put together and baked to come out with the perfect dish, this case being Bad Boys II.

In this film there are slight differences such as the Burnett's and Lowrey's rival cops, of course a better car (instead of the 911 Turbo they switched to a Ferrari 550 Marinello, but in some scenes a Ferrari 575M), also the introduction of Burnett's sister, as played by Gabrielle Union ( as i have already described).

If you are wanting to rent a funny movie, with tonnes and tonnes of action, i'd highly recommend this, its a 2 hour thrill ride that will either have you laughing or gasping, that will make your adrenaline pump like it never has before!! Bad Boys II - 10/10

Hot Fuzz (2007)

Best Action / Comedy Since Bad Boys II... Get It?
28 March 2007
Warning: Spoilers
I think that Hot Fuzz is by far the best Action / Comedy since Bad Boys (1995), and Bad Boys II (2003)! Hot Fuzz is a slamming action / comedy starring Simon Pegg who is the sort of guy who has wanted to be a cop since he was a kid, and suddenly has to get transferred to a little town in the countryside. Upon arriving he arrests a drunken man, who turns out to be his partner (Frost), whom's father is the Chief Inspector.

I think that Hot Fuzz is the sort of film that will make the film industry realise that Britain can come up with some brilliant, action films! Seeing as Britain usually does make Crime/Drama's such as Lock, Stock..., Snatch and The Long Good Friday, this film is like the Bad Boys of the UK or something, but its better than Bad Boys! I think that the cast couldn't be better, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost who also worked together in Shaun of The Dead (2004), which was just an absolute rush! Hot Fuzz is a brilliant film in every aspect you try to look at it in. If you like the sort of Saturday Night, on the sofa with some popcorn, i VERY, VERY, VERY highly recommend this film!! Hot Fuzz, the best action / comedy of the year! Watch it!!

A Man Apart (2003)
10/10
Unexpecting...
28 March 2007
Warning: Spoilers
I think that A Man Apart is a pretty good film, but when you watch the trailers and everything, its totally not what you would expect the movie to be! A Man Apart is about DEA Sean Vetter (Diesel) trying to avenge his wife's murder, with the help of his fellow partner (Tate).

A Man Apart, when i first heard of it and saw the trailers thought that it was going to be a brilliant film, you know, all that gunfire, action, violence...but it wasn't, it was more of the film were it looks good, but its not (like they've just cut all the bits and squeezed it into a 2 minute trailer),its the sort of film were the director is just dragging the film on with a bit of intensity every so often, or ab-it of violence like every 10 minutes! I also think that the MPAA Rating is a bit awkward as well because its Rated R for Strong Grpahic Violence, well according to me, the only bit of violence we see is when Vetter (Diesel), is beating the dealer up.

But in conclusion i think it is overall a good film, not recommended for the youngers, but you need to watch this film from the start or else you wont understand what is happening or what the cause of it is.

A Man Apart is, well in my case a hugely under-rated film!

Reservoir Dogs - An Absolute Gem!! 10/10
24 March 2007
I watched Reservoir Dogs for the first time a week ago and couldn't really understand what all of the fuss was about and why people rated it as a good film, Then i watched it again, an then again and then i did start to understand.

I think that Quentin Tarantino did a brilliant job with this film, (to say it was his first), and also casted a few characters out of this film into Pulp Fiction etc.

But there was a little bit about this film that i did not understand, the Violence. It was supposed to have been banned in a few countries due to the fact of the violence. If you watch films today such as A Man Apart, that is an extremely violent film, but if you think about the Rating in 1992, violence and cinema has evolved a lot!

I also think that the cast for this film is just, THE BEST! Michael Madsen, Harvey Keitel, Tim Roth and Steve Buscemi i think play their roles perfect and the film couldn't have been better! According to the IMDb, Reservoir Dogs is Rated #64 in the Top 250, i think it could be a lot higher in the list because i think that this film is a classic that will never become forgotten, its just one of those films that has made a huge impact since it was first released.

Reservoir Dogs - 10/10 (I would advise that you watch this film without youngers, it does get abit Graphic:))

The Godfather: Part IIII
12 September 2006
I watched this movie and thought , OH MY!! its fantastic!! I watched it over and over again and i loved it, the violence the drama, the crime!! Its like it should be The Godfather: Part IIII, also has a very, very, very similar plot to Crank (2006) because its just so great i loved it!! There are certain aspects of the film that get a little bit brutal but apart from that there's just no reason to not love this film!! Its like the godfather of revenge movie, but in the revenge/drama department this will never be as good as Man On Fire (2004) but unlike different movies of the 2000's it just blew me away!! I also think that this film should be in the Top 250 on the IMDb because its just a movie that to me will just never get old or become boring to anyone of any age. But i do think that the film has been underrated on the 9.7/10 i think it should just be a straight 10/10.!! I must have heard about this film and just thought its a violent drama but its not, its a dramatic thriller according to me, and to the opinions of other i hope to say.

MPAA: Rated R for strong graphic violence, pervasive strong language, and pervasive drug use

Awful
15 August 2006
I watched this film a few days ago and i thought it would have been an amazing romance/ love story, but instead i think it would suit a Crime/ Drama/ Thriller. I did not at all like this film one bit, it was boring, unintelligent and boring. i would rather watch the bottom 100th film than this. I would never recommend this movie to anyone, i don't think that this film would be suitable for anyone because it is quite a sexual movie, even though it has a PG rating. I gave it an AWFUL summary because that is what it is, AWFUL!!!. I have to say that The Football Factory is even better than this!!. The graphics of the movie are rubbish, stupid SFX and rubbish sound effects!! I think that this is a rubbish movie and should be removed of IMDb!!...

MPAA: Rated R for strong sexual content, and language

Unleashed (2005)

Jet Li, Will Be Unleashed, Best Movie Of 2005!!!
30 May 2006
I LOVE UNLEASHED! I basically always watch it and i love the Unrated version which has just got everything in it, and also more action than the original release. Unleashed is a different movie to what people think it is, like they think "Its a rubbish film", "Oh Look, the dog" but its totally different, because its a Martial Arts/ Drama movie which makes the audience want to keep watching, and i just watch every movie all the time! I am really an absolute movie maniac, i can literally write all on the information about Unleashed, Man On Fire, Blade Trinity, and Never Die Alone all out of my head! But i have to say that Unleashed beats them all in Action/ Drama genre. Unleashed Is Undoubtbly the best movie of 2005!!!!
