Big Five (2020– )

Worst ever

This is by a very large margin the worst film ever created. There is no comparison with anything else and no possible rate which can be given without being extremely generous

I am perplexed to see the low rating and mixed reviews of this movie. To me it was mind-blowing in every way.

Gerard Butler is very convincing, he impersonates a very difficult, sometimes even schizophrenic, character. The choices that the characters (and the real people on which the story is base) make are perfectly presented in their entire drama, while the character "church" is unveiled in the most gentle manner.

The only point where I think the movie could develop more is the rather biased approach towards South Sudan. Being made in 2011, the movie is a tribute to the young state's independence and to John Garang, but it should not be taken for granted that the Southern Sudanese forces are not contributing to the atrocities.

On a more positive note, recently the LRA has been almost decapitated. Kony's closest aids have been captured and the LRA is thought to have no more than 500 soldiers. Predictions go that it should be completely crushed by end 2012.
