This movie may or may not reel you in.
If it doesn't, it's just because you're used to higher dopamine levels in other movies, TV shows, instagram posts, Tiktoks... (which, is the case for 99.99% of us.)
You'll have the feeling of wanting to drop off especially after about an hour of watching the movie.
However, the importance of the topic discussed here and the irony presented of our society will either get you to continue get watching (it does get better, btw. You dopamine animal.) or just drop it off for the day and watch it on another occasion.
Sadly, though, most people do NOT know that they're addicted to dopamine. Which, imo, is the absolute problem causing everything showed in the movie (and society) that the directors of this movie couldn't get. And didn't aim to solve. It's a good message regardless, but I wish that they had taken that extra step as the movie won't have a big impact. I hope that it's the first try of many more to come. The fix is a dopamine detox... but we'll leave the conv on how to do that and why for another day... because, it's like a 40-page thing.
Tony Robbins says that, we're no longer living in the "information age", we're now living in the "over-stimulation" age. And I couldn't agree more.
There's also the news thing and politics controlling the narrative, but I think modern society doesn't even read news anymore. What we're now doing is just people dancing and screaming on the other side of the screen.
Anyway, that was my message, just like Don't Look Up conveys a message.
You may or may not like it or it may not reasonate with you, but, I hope you give it a thought for a sec.
