What a movie should be!

The acting is first rate, Marc's direction is always steady, great story, what more can you ask for. The dialogue is crisp and the film is well paced. The script is tight, not a wasted scene in this. This has something for everyone. Ewan does a wonderful job. Congrats to the filmmakers!

Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again (2018)

You got to be kidding me. Wasn't one Mama Mia torturous enough? Must the filmmakers subject filmgoers to this pointless sequel? You know my answer.

If you like Diablo Cody, Jason Reitman and Ms. Theron you be better served renting Young Adult. This was sort of tedious to sit through. Performances were decent, direction good, but not one of Diablo's better works. Oh well.

I mean, come on, doesn't anyone proof the scripts they're producing anymore? This was so unrealistic it's ridiculous. Jon Hamm - you're above this drivel. What an insulting plate of barf this film was.

Every director and producer knows (or at least should) that any decent film starts with a decent script. The best actors in the world can't save crappy writing. Not that this film had uber acting talents splashed across the screen anyway, but just saying. There is no shortage of stupidity in Hollywood. None so more obvious and on full display than in Affairs of State, an exercise in such blatant mediocrity and bland storytelling that it makes one wonder if anyone even bothered reading the poor writer's material prior to filming. If you like yourself, heed the advice of everyone who has reviewed this manure.....it REALLY is that bad.
