Wilderness (2023)
Drawn out too long
The story was decent but it was dragged out too long.
It surely could have been told in four episodes rather than six.
The lighting on internal shots was dark bleak and that was in the daytime.
If you're older than forty, or possibly fifty at the most, you'll hate the soundtrack. Frankly I'd want to kill someone if I had to listen to that sort of 'music' .
We watched it over six consecutive evenings. If it had been on once a week, i doubt we'd have watched behond the third episode. We were glad when it had finished. There was too much over acting by over rated actors. Each to there own and all that, but can't see why certain actors are so highly regarded.
The Good Fight: The One Where Kurt Saves Diane (2019)
Aaaaahhhh
Aaaaahhhh! That's me screaming over the constant drivel of a musical 'accompaniment' although I use that word advisedly.
What is it with successful programs or series that they have to self sabotage it? I hope the next series improves or we will be turning off.
Our House: Episode #1.2 (2022)
Typically ITV no feel good factor tripe
Considering the last two years of doom and gloom, why is main steam TV putting something like this on?
Good actors performing in a drama that makes me turn off after less than two episodes.
I suppose I'll have to accept that the people responsible for these sort of productions want us all to remain depressed.
The Good Fight: The One Inspired by Roy Cohn (2019)
Hideous
Never rated Michael Sheen and he lived up to my expectations.
Why do we get songs part way through? Too much dumbing down for my liking.
Definitely nose diving this series.
The Bay: Episode #3.5 (2022)
Not up to standard
Unfortunately not a patch on the first 2 series. Acting is below standard and I agree with previous reviewer, political correctness is OTT.
I don't forsee there being a clammer for another season.
However, the setting made us consider visiting Morecambe again for the first time in decades.
Angela Black: Episode #1.3 (2021)
Pulling teeth
This is so slow, predictable and painful, it's like pulling teeth. Joanne Froggatt is unfortunately becoming type cast. This is the last episode for me. Whatever happened to lighthearted escapism drama.
Guilt: Episode #2.1 (2021)
Very good follow up.
Very good follow up. What a shame we had to endure the drivel pretending to be incedental music.
Far too many programs these day are spoiled by a poor choice of accompanying 'music,' that is always too loud and intrusive.
Thank goodness for the exiting music from The Skids.
Striking Out: Episode #2.1 (2018)
Really good series.
Good series spoilt by terrible songs played at all, but also too loud. It used to be called incidental music. It's not supposed to be a window of opportunity.
The Indian Doctor: Immunity (2012)
Thoroughly enjoy this programme
Light hearted programme tackling epidemic in a time when we are all trying to tackle a pandemic. Only fault I noticed was "I heard it through the grapevine" in the soundtrack for 1964 when, to the best of my knowledge, the earliest release of this record was three years later. But that's me, nit-picking.
