Finally a movie America needs
27 October 2007
Warning: Spoilers
I have been waiting for a movie like this for a long time. Our country has gone through a lot of moral changes in the last couple decades, and from me, not the best of changes. Its nice to finally watch a movie that has family values like this.

The movie starts out with great character growth by learning about Dans life as it is with his 3 kids. He obviously loves them so much and it shows very well through, surprisingly, Steve Carells acting.

When they meet up later with the extended family, lets just say the plot comes about. But what i extremely enjoyed was the Family. All of them come together, play games, eat together, and basically have a great time. No TV, No video games, No complaining.

But don't be mistaken. They are in no way Brady like. It seems extremely real and awkwardly familiar to my own memories of my family gatherings.

It was a great movie, and i advise all to see it. Don't go in their with 40 year old virgin on the mind. Be prepared to see yourself and all your family on screen in a delightful, fun dramedy.

Very Very Very Crappy
15 June 2007
I will start off by saying i was so disappointed by the first episode that I turned it off before it was finished. I don't know how anyone can truthfully say that they liked this crap.

I'm not gonna bring this into a political debate. I myself am a right wing moron. But that has no bearing whats so ever to this show. It has to many regurgitated jokes and way to much pointless satire. Maybe quite possibly if the show decided to have an interesting plot instead of constant bush bashing, it might actually be a decent show.

All and All, I love bush humor, but this show takes it way to far and doesn't even try to maintain a decent story. Don't watch it, at all, please, for your own good.

Interesting and Provocative
30 April 2006
Warning: Spoilers
I am a United States Naval Sailor. So the views that I am about to portray might be one sided, but I will honestly give you a view from my perspective. I have been to Iraq twice now since the events of 9/11 and this movie really made me think.

My first emotion when i was through viewing this film was rage. I was upset at everyone. I was mad of course at the terrorist and the length they would go to strike fear into us. But i was also enraged with the readiness of the USAF. They somehow were not able to send an effective strike group at these planes until it was all too late. I was upset at the timely matter it took for them to get clearance from the President. I'm not as mad at the president as i am with our system. Somehow, in this most timely hour, they were unable to get hold of him. You would think that the chain of command in our US of A would be strong enough and trained enough to be able to get the info to and from where they needed it. But somehow, this could not be accomplished.

The movie itself kept me quiet the whole time. I really began to think they were gonna be able to overcome the obstacles, even knowing the final outcome. And the people calling their love ones actually brought a tear to my eyes.

Was America ready for a 9/11 movie? I don't know. But I can fully tell you, that this movie was not Hollywood. There's no love scene, or special character that makes you focus on there situation. Its almost a dramatization of a documentary.

The actors who are not big name, did a fabulous job of making me believe they were just ordinary people, and nothing special.

Bravo Zula to United 93
