Spiral (2005–2020)
10/10
One off the best, most engaging series I have ever watched.
11 January 2021
Apart from giving us no-holds-barred, fascinating insights in the world of inner city Paris, the character development in this series was brilliant. First rate plotting, excellent acting and storylines that revolve around justice and how it is administered, massaged but ultimately honoured. The plots had a sense of purpose and proper resolution. I don't remember being so personally engaged (or should that be 'engrenaged') in a drama and its characters for a long time. For English lovers of France this is irresistible.

Very witty - great satire

The writing in incredibly witty. Its observations on news presentation are embarrassingly true to life and humour is used to good effect. Worth watching for these reasons alone but the roles played by many superb actors, Benedict Cumberbatch among them, raise its quality to a high level.

Alan Dale superb

I thought Alan Dale as Judge Koehler gave a superb performance that gripped me throughout. A vety difficult storyline handled with finesse by an actor of great talent.
