Stranded (2002)
Great movie for the family
It has a Swiss Family Robinson shipwreck on an Island in maybe 150 years ago setting, but very different and enjoyable plot. Everyone grows as a family, even the parents, the friendly gentle knowing native, and some pirates. We see the family grow over ~7 years and a great finale. We loved it and so nice to watch a more realistic, no special effects movie, where people have to use their head to survive.
By God's Grace (2014)
Good family story message about our choices and how they impact others
The movie did remind me of "A Christmas Carol" due to his sister showing him the past, present and future in his dream, mixed with "It's a Wonderful Life" where George Baily finds out how his acts of kindness change his entire town.
I liked the consistent generousness displayed by the parents to others in so many ways, in family member in distress, considering the hard work of their company people and giving to those who had no one to care for them.
I really like the straight forwardness speaking about Jesus and God who teaches us to be like Him and give to others in kindness.
This is a good family movie that people can be reminded of the impacts their good deeds really have on the people and world around us.
Not Cinderella's Type (2018)
Great Movie and Acting
As the movie progressed you quickly see the abnormal household she is in and how she doesn't even see it. Her home situation plight and her mature way of expressing her self to Bryant and then her best friend show she is young but growing up in a good way. I thought the boy Bryant showed wisdom beyond his years, but his father certainly was part of it. A movie that I think is a good model of behavior and thinking for young people and projects a bit ideal, but typical healthy family. I did think realistically her relationship Bryant at her emotionally weak time, might have been delayed until she got a new perspective on her life, but was ok anyway, she still has her life ahead of her and now a great start. Wish all foster kids can have such a happy ending.
Secret Millionaire (2018)
Easy Going light enjoyable plot
It was fairly predictable, but enjoyable to watch. I liked the clean honesty people sought. The way the Dad and Son relationship turned more feeling expressive, and in the end just telling the plain truth in what seemed difficult, wasn't so hard after all.
