Call of Duty: Black Ops III (2015 Video Game)

Whilst certainly better than the 2 Previous entries COD: BO3 Still suffers from the dull and repetitive nature of its previous titles.

COD BO3 is certainly an improvement from both AW and Ghosts it still struggles to differentiate it self from it other 11 predecessors in the series bringing almost nothing new in terms of gameplay and map design.

The campaign tries to go for a deeper more thought provoking narrative however it still suffers from the tired mechanics of the 'hallway shooter' the campaign has potential story telling wise however all of this is lost due to the dull and boring aspects of gameplay. Little is switched up from Multiplayer to the campaign which ultimately leads to the guns becoming poorly designed and do not work for this new PvE type gameplay.

Like always the guns are fun to upgrade and the perk system provide a sense of variability however the game in general simply elicits a disgruntled 'meh'. Sure I don't hate it but I came out feeling like a had just wasted a few hours where I could have played an actually interesting game.

Battlefield V (2018 Video Game)

A woeful attempt at bringing Battlefield back to its 'roots'

EA yet again have showed us that they have no idea how to make a video game and DICE is now a shadow of its former self.

From the get go it is made obviously clear that this game was rushed. More than half of the assets in this game are simply Copy Pasted from Battlefield 1 making the game in no way visually or thematically distinct from its predecessor.

The combat makes the game fell like a Call of Duty in a map that is far too large. Whilst a large map may have worked with previous games in this one it feels like a barren plain and that it takes forever to get from point to point. There is no tension whatsoever to the quitter points inbetween combat because I Know that I can easily respawn in a couple seconds later.

Throughout the marketing for the Campaign EA hyped us that they would be showing real life untold stories from WW2...

... but there is a reason why they are untold. Cause they are absolute S*** DICE must have realised this early on and added in 'elements' to the plot to at least make in somewhat interesting. Not only did they fail to make it interesting but they distorted the 'true stories' so much that they remove the point of them being there in the first place.

Please do not buy this game it is a generic, rushed and Lazy piece of S*** with almost no effort put Into it, apart from the millions of dollars spent on Trevor Noah to advertise this game.

Star Wars: Episode VIII - The Last Jedi (2017)

What even is this?

After watching The Force Awakens and Rogue One I was reasonably excited. Whilst they both had alot of fan service and didnt really rely on any original plot I was excited for what was to come and hoped Rian Johnson would stick to key elements of the star wars universe and guess what he ruined it.

I am not being hyperbolic when I say that this movie makes virtually no sense and completely ignores everything that made Star Wars great and unique. Every character in this movie acts so irrationally and unlike themselves it is unbelievable. Luke, a character full of optimism and wonder at the jedi in the original trilogy comes off as a grumpy old man who struts around all the time. Finn, a charasmatic protaganist who litteraly just went with the resistance on a suicide mission to save the galaxy and his first instinct is to run away from the batrtle.

I dont have a problem with the concepts being thrown into the star wars universe but adding them in with no explanation to simply serve the plot is incredibly jarring and ruins the movie.

My final point is that nothing happens of note in the movie. Seriously, the last movie ends with Rey completing a task with little to no explanation to save the day and the rebels get away without losing a single character that left there in the first place. Luke was already doing nothing in the beggining of the movie, Rey is still an untrained jedi the best we get in character development is chewies quest to become vegan. Please do not support this terrible cash grab of a movie.

Avengers: Infinity War (2018)

Everything a summer blockbuster should be

This is quite simply phonomenal, unique and stands out to all other marvel movies. I would recommend this to almost anyone.
