Bad Acting
1 April 2014
The actor Craig Olejnik is great eye candy, but his acting is not good. The episode I saw was very flat and dull. It seems like the premise of this series has already been done. Reading other people's minds is not a new novelty. I'm not sure what would help this series out. Perhaps better acting by the lead actor or maybe a more interesting storyline would help. I understand this series was filmed in Toronto. It may have worked out better for this series to have been filmed in a recognizable American city. I also think the lighting in this series is not quite right. I'm disappointed because I was looking forward to seeing this series. The only reason I'd watch this show again is to see Craig.

Will You Merry Me? (2008 TV Movie)

More offensive than funny
18 December 2010
As a Christian and Catholic, I found this movie to be offensive. It portrays a Christian family that is VERY extreme in it's celebration of Christmas. The mother of the Christian boy borders on a lunatic in the way she talks about Christmas and the way she interacts with the Jewish mother and father. The movie seems to monger sympathy for the Jewish mother and father in this unreal Christian community where everyone is completely obsessed with Christmas. For me, it's a less than subtle way of Christian bashing in this movie, which reveals the Jewish family as rational, stable and hip and contrasting the Christian family as irrational, unstable and square.
